I think you mean "a circular answer." But so long as it is filled out afterwards, it's not. It's like saying, "Marx taught Marxism." If one knows what "Marxism" entails, then it's not circular. It just identifies the founder as eponymous.
I would imagine, that if one is claiming to be a Christian, that they would try to learn what Christ was teaching, and try to teach the same thing.

Quite true. And they do.
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Did you check the context? To which particular group of people was Christ speaking on that occasion? Who were these "Lord, Lord" types?

It's right there, in the text.
Every religion, derived from the Bible, preach lies.
So...wait a minute.

First, you claim Christians don't teach what Christ taught...then you claim they're at fault for teaching things "derived from the Bible"? You're going to have to help me understand that claim. It looks contradictory.
...most people do not even study the Book.
I do. Ask me a question.
The Book tells you to learn judgment, not doctrines, not religions, but judgment.
Actually, it says all kinds of things about judgment. It says, "Don't judge your brother," for example, but it also says, "Judge yourself," and "God will judge you."

And that's a "doctrine," too. The subject "judgment" is found in multiple places from which a systematic pattern of teaching can be identified. That's what a "doctrine" is.
This forum is a dumpster of illiterate people,
"Illiterate"? In what sense? They can all type, compose messages, answer each other, and so on; and they've all read certain things. Of what do you accuse them of being "illiterate"? :?
...who do not know a thing about grammar...
Um...I hate to point this out, because it seems unkind: but above, you just wrote the words,

"Every religion, derived from the Bible, preach lies."

Your verb, "preach" needs to agree with your adjective and subject "every religion," which make a singular subject. So it should have been "preaches." I wasn't going to point it out, but since you accuse everybody here of not knowing grammar...

...it's maybe best not to nit-pick in a casual forum like this. Let's not, okay?

Still turnin' heads with that there sweet talk.

👍
Well, then, instead of looking around for someone to save you, explain it to everyone, what is the foundation of every possible system of information processing and how is it accomplished.
First: I ain't lookin' for anyone to save me (where'd you get such a dumb idea?).

Second: who the hell are you that I should submit to your testin'?

And since when has deflecting with temper tantrums, and spewing out bull shit, become the standard for so called philosophical discussion. Since you obviously cannot answer the question, why start barking like a mad dog?

I speak in defense of the Bible, and in the words of Christ. Whom do you defend but your own stupidity.

Henry knows a lot more than you imagine. He's a master of irony, in addition to his other talents.

But if Biblical knowledge is the thing you want to talk about, I'm not afraid to talk to you about that. Go ahead.

I am not here to talk about the Bible, my work on the Archive contains a great number of translations of it over time, and much of the major works of commentary on it. I have even posted some audio-books of different translations. And by direct experience, I have even had people claim to be Ministers, who have never even read or studied the whole book.
Unlike most, I have done a little more than study it.

And, for those who are offended at my criticisms, they have not read the Bible, the criticisms are over a great deal more graphic in that work itself.

The Bible itself, tells the reader repeatedly that it is sealed to man's understanding until a particular time in human history. In Revelation, it tells you that until that time, no one can read it. What does literacy mean, and how do we effect judgment by it. What is the function of a mind? and how in the hell can any person claim to be literate, when there is an obvious standard intimated in the Book itself. Instead of speaking gibberish about the Book, prove you know what literacy is and can show what grammar is, and how many categories, etc. You are told to learn judgment, yet have a fit when asked to demonstrate it.

Well, let's see how much you know, then.
The Bible itself, tells the reader repeatedly that it is sealed to man's understanding until a particular time in human history.
Ummm...you mean in Daniel? Since you know the Bible, you say, you know that Daniel is one of the OT major prophets, and was writing around 600 B.C., contemporaneous with the Babylonian Empire. http://www.jesuswalk.com/daniel/app3_ea ... daniel.htm.

It says in the Book of Daniel, "seal up the book until the end of time," but does not say "Bible." There was only Torah, (which is not mentioned) in Daniel's day, plus the book Daniel himself was actually writing, of course, which was the one specified (particularly the end chapters) to be sealed up until the end times.
In Revelation, it tells you that until that time, no one can read it.
Ummm....no, no it doesn't, actually.

In Revelation, it actually says, "Do NOT seal up the book, for the time is near." (Rev. 22:10).

Guess what time it is?

So you didn't know that. But okay, what did you want to say, now that we've got the story straight?

Only deflectin' goin' on is from you with uncalled for tests, tests right out of blue thrown out solely to draw attention from your autist ways.
I speak in defense of the Bible, and in the words of Christ.
Good on you. I myself -- a deist -- have offered, in this very thread, a defense of the Gospel and what can be drawn from the life of Jesus (but I used honey, not vinegar).

Wonderful, gosh, how could I miss that? duh!

So now you are prepared to answer the question.
What is the foundation of literacy, every form of information processing? Demonstrate you actually have the Key to the Bible.

those who are offended at my criticisms
It ain't your criticisms that offend: it's your demeanor.

As I say: You waded into this place thinkin' you were gonna make a big splash with your vasty theories, expectin', demandin', awe and respect from the local yokels, and -- gosh, darn it! -- you just don't get why the locals find you off-puttin'.

Come on guys. If you have learnt judgment, then the Bible is not sealed to your understanding. Show you can do as asked, show what literacy and judgment are!
it is very easy, you claim to know, show the world, teach how all men will honor one God, and the world will be at harmony because of people were literate, that is exactly what will happen. Show us, the world waits with baited breath.

Come on! now.

Do we unify the world with bull-shit, bombs, poison gas, killing infidels, men, women, children? Or by judgment? Show the world, you know it, and can teach it.

And if you cannot, who are you to speak at all about the Bible?

there's no reason at all 'cept to aid you in drawin' attention away from your autist ways

who are you to test me?
nobody

My turn: gimme your assessments of these quotes...

The dictionary definition of a Christian is one who follows Christ; kind, kindly, Christ-like. Anarchism is voluntary cooperation for good, with the right of secession. A Christian anarchist is therefore one who turns the other cheek, overturns the tables of the moneychangers, and does not need a cop to tell him how to behave. A Christian anarchist does not depend upon bullets or ballots to achieve his ideal; he achieves that ideal daily by the One-Man Revolution with which he faces a decadent, confused, and dying world.
