I honestly don't know, or can't recall, but I'm a fan of the actor, though it does somehow sound familiar.

But it's true, tears have no bearing, such as many might think, quite the contrary! One wouldn't want to face a foe, charging full speed, with tears in their eyes, as their passion might be the death of one. Of course ultimately their knowledgeable command of the task at hand has to be in the forefront, with that conviction following immediately behind; one would have to dig deep, indeed.

Why is that?

I suggest that its because half the soldiers or more wound simply drop weapons and go home.
Horrified at what they had done for a flag or a 'cause'
[this applies to both sides]
of who stay 80% are simply too stupid to know they are stupid.
or so conditioned as genotyped waffen ss. or super gung ho marines.

They ask themselves 'what would i be without war'.?
people

Many have said about war.
"it is pointless"

'Shutup boy your granda died fighting tyranny'
USAF moto. Peace is our profession is ironic
war becomes racial suicide.

All 'human' internecine conflict is pointless

Or are we still little kids in sandbox fighting over toys we forget 2 minutes latter.

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a world where they will not be judged " to paraphrase M l King.

tho having 4 kid makes him a criminal against earth

It's a line from the movie "The Enemy below", the German U-Boat commander is talking to his 1st officer in the captains cabin. The Commander had been in U-Boats in WWI and was doing it again in WWII. His 2 sons were in the military, and both were dead, he was sick of the war and just wanted to go home. He was a smart man and understood what was going on in the world then. If you are a soldier, just do it and don't try to figure out why, you won't be able to sleep.

Like any party among friends we have drifted very far from
"the universe expands."

so on topic.
i was once told the universe will end up as a massive number of black holes all slowly bunching till they hit some critical mass figure.
then boom.. a new universe explodes into being.
considering the number of theories which abound. this seems as likely as the next
