What you are missing is "reason." Just because people were wrong about the Jews does not mean that they are wrong about the Muslims. If you want to prove that people are wrong about the Muslims, then you need to show us the facts. The recent attacks around the globe where Muslims are actually killing people over a video doesn't assist you in your cause. But, since the attacks against the Jews could be 100% false while the attacks against the Muslims are 100% true, you cannot logically defend Islam by pointing out lies were made against the Jews. This is probably the argument your drunk math teacher made the other day. Did you raise your hand and point out his logical error?

There are good Muslims. They tend to be people who skip over the nasty parts of their holy books. However, in Iran, gays are murdered by the state for the "crime" of being gay. Women are not given equal rights as men. Apostates from Islam are murdered for the crime of exercising freedom of religion.

What I would like to see is every person enjoy the same rights I have. I consider the people living in places like Iran and Saudi Arabia deserving of the same freedoms I have, that their lives are just as important, and what strips them of their civil liberty is the false and brutal teachings of Islam.

We can't demonise all of them but it's admittedly hard not to sometimes.

Going to spare a thought for the Africans? As they are killing and torturing children in the name of Christianity and in the main due to the fundamentalist view imported from America. Homosexuality is illegal in most of their nations and in many places carries a death sentence. Women have bugger all rights and rape is common place. Or is just that it suits your blinkers to only consider Islam.

You want to have the same rights as you do you? Well how about the right to self-determination, the right to believe and practice the religion of their choice, the right to not be invaded by foreign powers. Apparently your 'rights' are limited to the right to do as we say.

Circumcision is allowed pretty much everywhere as far as I know. It's certainly not unique to Judaism.

The facts are that the most recent research shows that it lowers the incidence of male prostrate cancer, penile cancer, urinary tract infections, and the transmission of diseases, including herpes. It also means a man does not have to bleed from the foreskin while having sex. In America, the vast majority of people who circumcize their boys are Christians. In any event, because the risks of the procedure are so minor and there are rational benefits for the procedure, referring to it as "mutilation" is idiotic. IF it were so barbaric, then why do physicians perform the procedure so readily?

It only causes those things if a man doesn't keep himself properly clean. I've never heard of anyone bleeding because of their foreskin. Circumcision is still hideously cruel because anaesthetic is too dangerous for a young baby, but then I suppose babies can't feel pain.

Elvis Presley was constantly embarassed about his bleeding from the foreskin while having sex. There are millions and millions of circumcised men, and find me one who claims he was traumatized by having the procedure done?
