The opposite of a VOG is a Dad.
Dads are responsible for everything.
That seeps into the bones too, and Dads can end up feeling responsible for everything that goes wrong, for others.
It's a different kind of burden than VOGs experience.

Are you a dad?

Would you want more of me running around in the world? Did I not make the right choice in not being a Dad?

I have no idea.
However, rationality can fight through being responsible for everything.
It can also become the guiding light when self-enquiry deconstructs the known and incapacitates.
A bit-o' gratitude fuels rationality.

?
Oh, I get it. No, I'm talking about incapacitation from self-enquiry, which is a relentless, self-perpetuating engine that once started, is totally beyond your control.
Eventually, one integrates into the mundane and can again chop wood and haul water. Self-enquiry ends. The end of seeking is the end of self-enquiry, and that energy from the relentless engine transfers into awareness.
I'm talking about changing the view ... not the mood of the moment.

Does "self-awareness" cause one to support the policies of someone like Trump, such as International terrorism (for example)? Do you feel that you are more "self-aware" than I am? Can you describe what "self-awareness" feels like to you? Does it mean that you become only aware of yourself and stop thinking of other people? Or does being a dad mean that the only other people you think of are friends and relatives, and people in other parts of the world don't exist?

I’ll tell this you much for nothing, Gary Childress.
Use it as you will in your world of understanding.
For me, after decades of structured meditation, followed by self-enquiry that ended decades ago complete with experiences and insights that had led to seeking explanations ...
That gave me a need for seeking the vocabulary for what I learned. It led me to those who knew what I had learned.
It’s how I learned that there even was a term called, self-enquiry.
It’s how I even learned that there is such a thing as, e-prime.
That's not all, though. There weren't many who had gone through, what I did.
I found a few. Sometimes I quote them.
It's how I also learned to distinguish delusions in myself and others.
And the clinging to those delusions.
I discovered them, then discovered that others had also found them.
And, here’s the point, Gary. Take it to heart, as arrogant as that sounds.
After the self-enquiry ends and one knows, speculation from others becomes obvious.
No insult intended.

If you say so. I guess you should keep on believing what you believe if it makes you happy.

It's not a matter belief, Gary, as much as you want to believe that.
Those who know what they know, know.
Those who don't, agnosticate.
It not a matter of happiness, Gary.
Are these clues to your attachment to projecting?

Sigh. Talking to you is worse than talking to a cinderblock.

There are many cinderblocks in your world, aren't there.
Could be the truth is your cinderblock, like gratitude is your cinderblock.

(did he just say that?)

Does "self-awareness" cause one to support the policies of someone like Trump, such as International terrorism (for example)?
Bullshit question. (I know)
Do you feel that you are more "self-aware" than I am?
Obviously. You are mentally ill.
Can you describe what "self-awareness" feels like to you?
Yes. I am is true. Did you hear that?
Does it mean that you become only aware of yourself and stop thinking of other people?
Bullshit question.
Or does being a dad mean that the only other people you think of are friends and relatives, and people in other parts of the world don't exist?
Bullshit question.

Gary, your boundary, your defense against truth, your limitation in this realm ...
Is bullshit questions.
Just sayin' ...
