No. Too lenient would mean they simply turned a blind eye.

They encourage the worst to do the worst.

I would usually be inclined to handle the situations as you have described.

As an employee of the US government, there is no denial that Trump had effectively done [more successes and failures - no human is perfect] what was contracted within his Terms of Employment in the previous presidency.
Who could deny that?

At present, the USA is rotting in all places and I believe TRUMP [qualified as proven] is the best person to manage the USA to a decent state.
