To those without a vision, and who think they are already the best/ideal they can be, correct.

Everyone knows the truth of their being.

The title of this thread is RUDE, not any God.. it's an insult to the intelligence of what's already being here now.

Albeit an illusory insult, since that's just a mental construct, it doesn't exist.
What I find rude is Christians adoring a genocidal son murdering God and somehow thinking him good.

I could replace rude with stupid but that seems to really insult people who are doing stupid things.

The word God means so many things to different people. God to me, just means this mysterious IS-ness that cannot be explained.

I don't see God in a religious way....I don't think God wants to be a religious iconic figure in the form of a human body. That's just an idea, a mental construction.

I see God as the mind of imagination, and the human body aka the person is an expression of that mind imagination....mind to me is invisible and inconceivable except in this mysterious conception appearing and happening all by itself here now nowhere, no one to control it, no one in authority, no one to start or end it..just this forever mystery of what's happening...isness.

If goodness arises, that's what's happening. If evil arises that's what's happening and so forth with everything that arises. What arises will fall, and vice versa, nothing lasts forever.

The mind knows itself in this conception. And that's all that can be known. No concept has ever been seen, only known.

What is the mind?...I've no idea.

.

To me, there is no point in judging anything that happens, what happens is because that's what happens, and what happens can never be undone or changed into what's not happening. What happens will and only ever happen over and over again if its meant to happen, if its not meant to happen it wont. Reality could not have been any other way. There is no time machine here to change the past, and no future ever happens, there is only now and what's happening all by itself with no strings attached ..it's a runaway train.

Judging what can't be changed, is being a slave to the mind, it's bondage, a pretty pointless activity. Liberation is having no attachment to any outcome come what may...letting go of what we have no control over is the only way to live in peace. To die before you die and then live out the rest of eternity shining.

So what is it that is aware of what's happening?Who or What knows itself?

Awareness does, and awareness does not happen, awareness is not an experience. It is the happening, and the experiencing.

And what is not happening...cannot stop happening.

.

Reality is irrational, and anyone who tries to make sense of it, will fail.

.

And anyone who tires to make sense of it using high sounding words might as well flush all that down the toilet ..all words are useless, for there is nothing outside of language, and there is nothing inside of language either.

.

Stories are fictional, here today, gone tomorrow...while stillness / nothingness stays...watches on in complete detachment.

I was enjoying and on board with you till this.

" To me, there is no point in judging anything that happens,"

If you do not judge to weed out the mistakes and try to correct them, then you will likely repeat them.

I did not like you defeatist tone following that quote.

We control our future. Or at least those in power do, if the political will is there to go along with the wishes.

Our minds are our own and we decide if they are free or not, just as we do with our bodies.

This makes no sense.

Best not to try and make sense of what you cannot make sense of..because making sense of what is nonsense makes nonsense sense.

How can some thing come from no thing? .. it can/t

How can no thing come from some thing? .. it can/t

I try to avoid the emotional need for external validation. But getting to the title, I don't often acknowledge 'god', so fair is fair.

And on a random note, I recall a childhood prayer snippet; 'If I forget thee, please don't forget me'. Somewhat a prayer of hope for passing acknowledgment by God.

If you do not judge to weed out the mistakes and try to correct them, then you will likely repeat them.

There are no mistakes in life, life is going live right now in realtime. There is no time machine here or dress rehearsal. You can only repeat an event that's already happened .. and what's already happened no longer exists to repeat it. ..so it wouldn't exactly be a repeat.

Can the done be undone? .. who or what can undo the done?

There is no you to make a mistake, if there was a you to make a mistake, then surely a you that could make a mistake can just as well unmake a mistake before that mistake happens?

The only way you can stop making mistakes is to stop believing there is a you to make mistakes in the first place.

It's really that simple.

.

Does that make sense?

I know what you mean...questions like ''Do you think it odd that your God never acknowledges you? Is that rude?'' is far too stupid for me to bother answering..  :? :?

.

A stupid question will get a stupid answer.

I'm sure he never meant to cause offence. I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Not me. I'll kick him in the nuts for this. Where does he get the nerve?

You'd have to find him first. Greatest I am is always getting worked up over the actions of a God he doesn't believe exists, seems like a waste of energy, to me.

Waste of energy is man's biggest joy.

- lion safari trips to Africa
- pleasure cruises to the Bahamas
- watching "Lohengrin" at the Scala
- searching for the Holy Grail (Where did you put it??? It was here five minutes ago!!!)
- laughing
- dancing
- recreational sports

Then you are self-centered and do not live by the Golden Rule.

You see the homophobia and misogyny religions spew and that would effect even those in your family but that does not seem to phase you if you have decided not to fight those forces that are going even against some in your own family and community.

For evil to grow and all that.

My reply is the same as what I gave our friend.

If this world is to get better, allowing evil to thrive is hardly the way for moral people to improve things.
