Because the Atman (Self) reflects the entire world through the mirror of knowledge.
The problem is that the "I" comes in between and touches the reflection of the real, and you get caught up with it. It is just as if you were trying to apply make-up to the reflection in the mirror thinking it is you, you become engrossed in your reflection, which you take to be yourself, disassociating from your own true face which is entirely naked...and no amount of make-up will reveal it to you.

Everyday is a holiday not just specific times of the year.

The stories of Jesus Christ are celebrated as religious holidays, but why not move on from these human rituals where we put JC on a pedestal and then continue to live in sin and misery...why not just realise we are the Jesus Christ? and live out the rest of eternity in love and freedom?

This is nonsense if it's read literally. I guess that what you mean is that we can live better or as good lives without being religious.

You should express your thoughts in as simple language as possible. Mystifications annoy and are no help to anybody.

Jesus..aka God in the flesh is not religious.

And just try telling the Bible writers to express their thoughts in a simple language as possible. Does any one actually really understand the Bible stories and what they are pointing to in it's totality?

It's wide open to interpretation according to what you want to hear...Those with ears will hear.. those with eyes will see...know what I mean?

True.

But I would argue that the Bible is also a short cut in the form of coded messages illustrating indirectly as and through parables a way for man to find real meaning and purpose to life..It's kind of like God's little instruction manual for life as a man. Im'manual God is saying... he's talking about himself to his self.

The Bible requires a deeper understanding. The Bible is like the sheet music in that respect, we can't hear the composers message in just the symbols alone, we have to go much deeper and listen to the actual song God is singing by hearing and listening deeply to the song itself and applying that to our own life. We have to do the work, the sheet music is not going to give that to us, it's just the like a signpost..we have to make the journey to where it points...to make sense of it we have to live it experientially ourself.

I also believe that only the good, humble, pious and meek will decipher the codes hidden in the Bible, not the wicked one because only good can reconcile with itself which is what God is. The darkness of the wicked cannot extinguish the light, because darkness only exists because of the light. Darkness does not and cannot exist without the light.

Darkness will appear to go it's own wicked way for awhile ...and the light will allow it the free will to do so, knowing full well it will always seek back the light that sustains it, the light knowing full well the darkness has no light of it's own and that it is the only pilot.. therefore knowing full well that the darkness is always wholly dependant on the light which is always being itself anyway, so all is well really.

So we really need to stop wearing that awful cross around our necks and unshackle our self from such silly idolatry...we're it baby, we're the frigging thing...lets shine.

In order to live you have to die. And only when you die, you see that you never died..because Light cannot die...have you ever seen death? NO you haven't have you...you've only seen life.

When you understand anything you begin to see it everywhere, and even when you forget the understanding you still see it.

The Bible is a collection from ancient oral traditions. The people who wrote and edited The Bible were not God, but people.

The Bible is difficult to interpret and often contradictory. If a good God had planned The Bible He would not have contradicted Himself.

It is true that from The Bible scholars can extract some information about ancient world views, and ancient intertribal violence in the Middle East.

The wisdom of Jesus of Nazareth is debatable, and the Gospels are contradictory. Many of the Gospels stories are discredited.

The Koran is cobbled together from The Bible and the Torah. Nothing wrong with cobbling ideas together, but let us be clear that Muhammad was not directly inspired by Allah. Muhammad was a social reformer and empire builder.

Historically the world religions have been the main media for our present day ethics. Holy books are not needed now that we have much better authors many available online.
