Have you flipped your lid? Bill and Bob certainly aren't ambassadors.
This pertains to what Hobbes has just written:
"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people." Eleanor Roosevelt
PhilXAll those nasty "rude people". Once again you shoot yourself in the foot. I was just telling you why they are rude.
Since you are always taking a stand behind the American barricades, and unerringly fail to allow the slightest critique of anything American, you have to expect to be associated with Bill and Bob, who are arming the barricades with you.
Am I going too fast for your. Maybe you'd like to try and read what I am writing?
You've taken you side. Live with it!
To note, your entry post to this thread was off-topic. And you're still off-topic. You're what we call in the business, a thread derailer (or at least you're trying). So far you're the only one explicitly associating me with Bill and Bob (I expect one other to join the chorus).
It looks like you have nothing to be thankful for. What a poor year you're having. Oh btw you're encouraging me to do more American threads. That'll make up for your lack of British threads.

Love your clear and insightful analyses. Doc and Phil don't realise how rude they are. Doc has a passive-aggressive kristian contempt while phil just seems to be completely clueless much of the time. Neither of them can stand criticism.Hobbes' Choice wrote:Phil does not read what is written; when he does read, he does not understand, and where he understands he misinterprets and is rude when others point out his failings.
This all adds up to a pretty poor show from the US side. And since those birds of a feather tend to flock together with disregard for reason, and in primitive protection of their beloved country (right or wrong), this makes them look all the more ridiculous.

Re: Thanksgiving: what do you have to be thankful for?
It would be difficult to be as 'xenophobic' as Americans. I think they must have invented the concept. And it's only 'xenophobia' if it's irrational. Your country has a massive nuclear arsenal and it has just appointed far-right nut-jobs to run it. Even when relatively sane people run the place it still manages to ignite the planet and create more and more chaos. It's hardly irrational to fear and despise that. I wonder if Iraqis and Syrians are 'xenophobic' about Americans. I mean, they've only had their beautiful and ancient countries destroyed by them for no particular reason (except racism and 'xenophobia').Philosophy Explorer wrote: Doc, you hit the nail on the head. Being xenophobia stems from irrational fear, it can't be a valid reason.

Bill and Bob do not represent me, I speak for my self. If someone agrees, good for them, if someone disagrees, I can't keep them from being wrong.Hobbes' Choice wrote: Sadly When you have such wonderful ambassadors here such as Bill and Bob representing the US.

I was expecting you to show up blabbering as per usual. I, doc and others are still waiting for your clear and insightful analysis that you fantasize about. But ofc, you love to go off-topic thinking it's all about you and Hobbes. I'm done with your boring diatribe for now.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Love your clear and insightful analyses. What are you laughing at? As far as I know you are the only person rude enough to post endless bad-mannered 'surveys' about other forum members.Philosophy Explorer wrote:bobevenson wrote:It certainly is in contrast to my own gentility.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Doc and Phil don't realise how rude they are. Why would anyone post anything about Britain, little to nothing to be thankful for, except getting rid of those pesky colonies, Most of them left by force.Philosophy Explorer wrote: Oh btw you're encouraging me to do more American threads. That'll make up for your lack of British threads.
