I can be the murderer for this thread. I've been banned in a forum and I think it was because of this thread, in other one, it took nearly one month to approve this, (and so, nobody saw it, because only a few people look for ancient threads in a forum),so...

-Yes, this is an interesting philosophic topic: how do you see or treat people who hurt other people? (ethic), Would you consider the possibility of being wrong? (philosophy of mind, and ethic), Can a murderer be like the one I'm going to play?... but I prefer to put it in a situation, maybe socratic method. It can be a start for other questions.
-If you are going to say what would you say, get in the role, and say it like if you were in that situation. (Unless it is against the rules, but really, I don't think it would be a good idea being rude).

Why don't you tell us what you would do in the same situation? Then we can understand how your mind works and maybe get some clarity on what you are really asking.

I'm asking what I'm asking, you want to see other thing, but there is not any hided purpose in my question.

All you can know so far, is what he said, and wat news told you. That's in the first post. Well, maybe he is killing other killers (like Dexter?), maybe he is guiving euthanasia for people who call him... I don't know. Maybe he think that aliens will kill him if he don't do that, or maybe he do it seeking attention, maybe he feels vengueance... What I know, is that I can try to know about it. A real murderer thread would get lots of answers, I can't expect silence, all kind of people would talk to him, most of them to say stupid things, no doubt, there would be even fans of the killer. Of course, I can leave it for "experts" (people I don't know), but my first thoughts about that would have been "I want to know more about this, people is dying, I want to understand better why".

My thoughts of course doesn't end there, and I won't answer here to an argument against my thoughts in this (It seems that it's impossible, but I prefer to keep this thread for the game).

Sure they are a troll as they want to incite, shock and seek recognition on top of their murderous intentions. I disagree with your 'only approach', the only approach is to report them not least because you may be considered an accessory to a possible crime by not reporting it.

Well, the hypo murderer is a person, so you shouldn't use plural. And there are or can be many kinds of murderers. I didn't say that there is an "only aproach". Of course, in this hypo, reporting him is useless, because I said that police is looking for him (so they already know it).

Lol, a lot of answers to this thread are always filled with resentment XD. "I wonder why are there so many people in forums who go to a thread over and over to say that they don't have time to waste it in that thread"

I remember a recent Horizon in which a psychologist studying psychopaths discovers that he has the gene for it. He was surprised, but his family were not, and realised that this explained his off-hand and somewhat cold attitude to the rest of his family.
I wonder if psychopathology tends to give people an interest in psychological matters, like doctors often have interesting childhood experiences close to medical matter, and people with surnames such as Butcher often end up gravitating towards the profession their names suggest.

This reminds me of an experiment that I tried with my dog. I wondered if the choice of 3 bones would lead him to the largest. So we set up three in a row, and after a painful wait, (for him). Told him to choose.
He rushed to the nearest possible one, ran dropped it in the next room and then rushed back for the second and the third!
Sometimes the subject thinks of something the experiment has not accounted for.
