Again, dum-dum, when is another country going to put a man on the moon?
When is the US going to put a man on the Moon, again.
Been there, done that!

Reasonably soon bob, as both China and India have space plans but I guess Mars might be the next destination although the Moon appears to have resources they might use. Personally I think America should be dusting off the Orion plans and resigning from the test-ban treaty but from the looks of your parties you're going to be more concerned with internal civil divisions for quite a while now.

Maybe they should concentrate first on developing an automobile that can compete in the world market.

As I said, Reverend Bob, the design of the Saturn V was overseen by Germans. America would not have made it to the moon without the help of damn fucking refugee Europeans.

I take it you haven't been to Detroit lately.

I don't recall ever seeing any cars from India or China on the road.

Reverend Bob, there are very few countries in the world where US built cars are a common sight. The fact is, doing 55mph in a straight line isn't what the rest of us want. When it comes to going round a corner, at speed, American cars are next to useless. Indycars ( more often than not powered by Japanese Honda engines) have to rely on Italian Dallara chassis. If there were any bends in the road to the moon, an American designed rocket would still be struggling to get there.
Notes.
1. Apologies to all Americans who are not prophets: the moon landings were a fantastic achievement.
2. Yes, I know about the slingshot from Earth's gravity, but it's not the sort of information that gods usually grace their favoured ones with.

In the large U.S. market, you see cars from all over the world, but not a single one from China or India. Please explain.

40 years ago, the same would have been true of Japanese cars. Be that as it may: in the large Indian market, you see a lot of Hindustans, in China, the there are a lot of Wulings (a lot of VWs too, as it happens), but very few American built cars. Like I said, going slow in a straight line isn't much use outside the US.

Bottom line, China and India are not a technological threat to the USA!

Maybe America should.
Although you ought to pay attention bobby and look how fast the Chinese car market has developed the add the fact that they'll be selling at a price at which no-one, apart from the Indians maybe, can compete.

Well, if you mean putting a person on the moon, the contemporary USA isn't a threat to the USA of 50 years ago. If it's cars you're on about, the USA is not a technological threat to Korea, never mind Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Britain even Sweden, all of which manufacture cars that make those built in the US look silly.

Please, please tell me where I can buy a Chinese car in America.
