Me too, but I can't even see people who are getting ripped off by cable companies for a signal, cancelling that en masse. So unfortunately, it'll never happen.

None of you people have the slightest understanding of economics, how it operates, or what corrective changes to make.

Justice creates a good working environment.
What do people get rewarded for then?

For being good lackeys or knowing the right people. Really, Mr. Social Justice has to ask?Brit Dems wrote:Obvious Leo wrote:You're a funny man, Brit, if you think that people in this world get rewarded according to how hard they work.Brit Dems wrote: Did you work hard in good faith that there would be just rewards for your efforts?

For being born to the right parents. For practically every human being one's prospects in life are almost exclusively an accident of birth. Considerations of "fairness" or "justice" simply don't come into the equation.Brit Dems wrote: What do people get rewarded for then?

That's why America is the land of opportunity, where people from humble beginnings can become billionaires. No other country can make that claim.Obvious Leo wrote:For being born to the right parents. You're a fucking jackass, Bob. Of all the countries in the world the USA is one of ones least entitled to make such a claim.bobevenson wrote:That's why America is the land of opportunity, where people from humble beginnings can become billionaires. Job's fagther was Abdulfattah ‘John’ Jandali (b.1931), was born into a Muslim household and grew up in Homs, Syria. Jandali is the son of a self-made millionaire. (in Syria BTW)
He was rich enough to send Jobs to the best schools.
So score 1 for Syria enabling 'humble' people to prosper, and 0 for the USA.
As for Mark Zuckerberg, he was born into a Jewish community and his dad was a fucking dentist- one of the most overpaid professions in the USA. So his attendance at the best schools was also guarenteed.
So - duh, not exactly 'humble' either.

I'll just let it go with your stupid "750 million" comment. By the way, how many self-made billionaires are in your godforsaken country?Hobbes' Choice wrote:No only the way you conceive of them: like everything else.bobevenson wrote:I guess Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg are a figment of my imagination, huh?
