For instance, if there is a minimum wage law of $15/hour, and you would rather hire whites, you can hire only whites and it doesn't hurt your profits. But without minimum wage laws, if you hire only whites, a competing company will hire blacks at a lower wage, and your products will not be competitive. That's why white unions love minimum wage laws.
