Mind and brain are of course linked but in general are not considered identical in any commonly regarded discipline or profession, though can often times be considered identical within such for practical purposes. There is a strong demarcation which could be characterised in a similar way to an above reply, viz. mind is more a thing of process rather than a physical thing.

Yeah well mind is more connected with memory than is brain, so is more to do with personal process and personal thought rather than plain old dry brain function. It is a process intimately connected with development of consciousness. Thats why I say that Memory is more process than physical thing. The etymology of the word connects it unequivocally to memory.
