Off-hand; in Rip it up by Richard Wiseman, what produces love is sustained eye-contact, proximity, touch and holding, and performing tasks together. Wiseman experiments by have men and women look long into eachother's eyes, hold eachother, and complete tasks as a team; he finds a lot of his experimental couples fall in love.
