Yes apologies for the way i abruptly cut clips but I'm over conscious about boring a listener with something longer than twenty seconds. That and i get lost every thirty seconds or so anyway so this works in my favor by sparing the poor listener and myself the agony of hearing it (again, in my case).

Finally, the circumstances under which i have again taken up my guitar are unique and challenging. I have not had it out, with the exception of this last week or so, in almost six years. And, given my memory impairment, i have to re-acquaint myself with it after extended periods of not playing.

Becuz remember, if u don't know how to read music or really even what string you're playing (much less what key), the idea and understanding of the guitar, the familiarity, isn't kept and stored in your head as a closed system of parts... u know G and every note in the G scales. U know B, etc. So u go right to it becuz you've already got it conceptually mapped out. Not so with the laymen.

The musical laymen, such as myself, has to press all the buttons again on a guitar to see what they sound like and which ones go together, any time he picks one up.

Perhaps the only advantage to being the laymen is that by virtue of u not knowing what you're doing, u aren't restricted by the instinct or intuition of any expectations regarded by the rules of musical theory; u don't know not to do x note here becuz u don't know it's wrong, see. This rulelessness can often result in creative things that you'd not otherwise ever have thought of or purposely tried for on the instrument.

"Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger"

That's my song, bro! U know why? Becuz I'm risin' up, back on the street. Did my time, took my chances. Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet. Just a man and his will to survive, bahman.
