Aristotle should have never called that joint he wrote 'The Metaphysics' and should have just named it The Principles of something or other. Because of him, there has been no philosophy since so ridiculous that it can't be called metaphysics.

Do you have a very strange theory? No prob. It's a metaphysical theory, bro.

I think I missed that part. Can you direct me to it?
No.

You show to low of an I.Q. in the moral department.

One way or the other there will be “imposition of belief” and a more or less accepted metaphysics. But you are right that a metaphysical belief-system — as Catholicism/Christianity is — requires force. I.e. many different decisions, and many different points where defined truths have been translated into rules of conduct. There is no system where there is not a defining authority. Though “Liberalism” has indeed attempted a rulership system in which law protects various groups and their strains of belief under a protective umbrella.

Even “supernaturalism” cannot be avoided since Ideas and concepts are rather supernatural. They do not exist in nature, do they? They have no substance. And yet they have profound, determining effect.
Yes. Religious mass murder is effective when one wants to hide the truth.

Socialism. It's cost the world far, far more.

But you didn't answer: why has anybody got a duty to obey a fantasy?
If it is the best in moral tenets one can come up with, it would be immoral and stupid not to.

Alright, but in a few years please don’t forget me, for I am growing mightily!

"Yes. Religious mass murder is effective when one wants to hide the truth."

I propose that any religious institution that has grown popular and strong enough will end up being the dominant religion in a State that rules and tyrannizes through violence. Ergo, had Gnosticism seemed cooler to the people than Catholicism, you'd have a history of violent Gnostic inquisitions and holy wars.

Think of east-asian countries that are officially buddhist but have openly practiced genocide. Think of the fact that you can't keep five hippies together for ten minutes without them stealing from each other.

How peaceful your favorite religion is means nada. A religion and what its particular contents are means diddly-squat. It exists only as a State apparatus, a creation of the State and its ruling intellectual classes for the sole purpose of subduing and satiating the exploited working classes. I promise you whatever religion you endorse would be as quickly weaponized as Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity was by its hosting empires and States.

What was Chomsky's tier system of intellectual propagandists again. I forget what they are, but the church and clergy were on one of em. Auxillary intellectuals or something like that? The guys that disseminate ruling class propaganda at the local community level.

You have missed the point: You are going to have to decide on a fully encompassing metaphysics that explains everything and also provides an Order for every aspect of terrestrial life. I give you till 3:00 PM to arrive at it.

I submit that “you” are not aware of that essential and profound requirement. And it is likely that “you” (a person like you I mean; and I also mean like “us” in our condition) just drift along in a no-sphere. A life without purpose, indeed without a meaning that “you” serve.

Doesn’t mean of course you are excluded from appreciation of Mambamongo…

…or for that matter the Osaka Jazz Channel.

Here we meet young Promethean when in his pre-revolutionary student phase. Such a ball of fire!

A 21rst century metaphysicist is someone who didn't read Nietzsche before he read everybody else.

In any case, i even had the good graces to admit of a single real 'meta' physical category (causality)... not committing it to the flames ala Hume like all the others... and i still catch shit from the philosophers.

I'm quite adamant in my insistence that 'metaphysics' is three-quarters philosophical language games and that most metaphysical statements only appear to be meaningful because they have logical form.... while, in fact, that string of words x is pure neologistic nonsense like something out of Alice's wonderland.

As a materialist myself, I've found nothing in philosophy that can't be handled by physics or epistemology. Even 'ontology' is an exercise in buffoonery. Bro... what's the nature of Being? Holy shit... but then what's the nature of 'nature'? What do you mean by 'nature'? That's what i mean... like what is the nature of Being? I know you just said that. But what about it would be its nature? Dude. I don't know. That's why I'm f****** asking you!

So...because you think that whatever your fantasies tell you, when you "come up with" them is "moral," then anybody who thinks differently is "immoral and stupid"? Have I got your answer right?

Yes I recall you posting that clip before. Upon clicking it this time I was greeted again with a five-second ad favorite. The white haired AI doctor with expert knowledge and a great confident tone telling me about poop paralysis again.

So I'm wondering if you guys are getting this doc too or have I somehow been tagged by advertisers as someone who has poop paralysis?

I state for the record that I can't recall the first or even the last time I was constipated (except existentially). My digestive track and bowel system is like a well oiled Chinese factory line of women no taller than 5 feet dressed in identical white uniforms and hair nets. Shit gets done, and very efficiently.

Digestive disturbances have always been typically alien to me. To this I attribute good climate, diet, and almost complete abstinence from alcohol, that origin of German metaphysics...

For two points, what famous philosopher did I just caricature? Don't answer it, Imp, let somebody else have a try FFS.

I cannot bear ads so for YouTube I pay for a membership.

Naw... I've seen that one with the kid going beast mode on the teacher guy. Somebody posted it.

I'm risking the hypothesis that you are the one who posted it before since it seems less probable that another would happen to post clip x before you did (with millions of other clips to choose from... they end up picking the one you'll pick) and more probable that, indeed, you are the poster in question. Thank you and good day.
