One cannot say that an apple is more valuable than an orange, universally! It depends upon the needs of the person that will consume them. To he that needs vitamin C to ward off scurvy, obviously, shall find the orange more valuable, however, he who requires better digestibility and energy concentration, will find the apple more valuable, how then can one assign a universal value? They can't, thus they are equal in value. To assign a value is arbitrary, conditional. They are equally important foods, for different reasons.
