Halloween sound.
The big monster in the dark is right behind you, and walking fast.

Sounds like Elfman uses all the instruments and most of the notes.

ZERO - Smashing Pumpkins
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wk7C64kaP4
[Verse 1]
My reflection, dirty mirror
There's no connection to myself
I'm your lover, I'm your zero
I'm the face in your dreams of glass
So save your prayers
For when we're really gonna need 'em
Throw out your cares and fly
Wanna go for a ride?
[Chorus]
She's the one for me
She's all I really need (oh yeah)
She's the one for me
[Break]
Emptiness is loneliness
And loneliness is cleanliness
And cleanliness is godliness
And God is empty just like me
[Verse 2]
Intoxicated with the madness
I'm in love with my sadness
Bullshit fakers, enchanted kingdoms
The fashion victims chew their charcoal teeth
I never let on that I was on a sinking ship
I never let on that I was down
[Bridge]
You blame yourself
For what you can't ignore
You blame yourself for wanting more
[Chorus]
She's the one for me
She's all I really need
She's the one for me
She's my one and only

The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0J2QdDbelmY
[Verse 1]
I'm gonna fight 'em off
A seven nation army couldn't hold me back
They're gonna rip it off
Taking their time right behind my back
And I'm talking to myself at night
Because I can't forget
Back and forth through my mind
Behind a cigarette
[Pre-Chorus 1]
And the message coming from my eyes
Says "Leave it alone"
[Instrumental Chorus]
[Verse 2]
Don't want to hear about it
Every single one's got a story to tell
Everyone knows about it
From the Queen of England to the Hounds of Hell
And if I catch it coming back my way
I'm gonna serve it to you
And that ain't what you want to hear
But that's what I'll do
[Pre-Chorus 2]
And the feeling coming from my bones
Says "Find a home"
[Instrumental Chorus]
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 3]
I'm going to Wichita
Far from this opera forevermore
I'm gonna work the straw
Make the sweat drip out of every pore
And I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding
Right before the Lord
All the words are gonna bleed from me
And I will think no more
[Pre-Chorus 3]
And the stains coming from my blood
Tell me "Go back home"

All I know is your declaration of superiority to VT, a few postings back.
I don;'t like veg, but not into proclaiming i'm superior to anyone sir (I value humility - I do not like veg, but maybe she had a bad childhood/etc............whatever). The only shoes i walk are via my own, and the only mission i make are per myself as a younger man - noting my follies and wrong choices and being a fool).
I strive to be only superior to my earlier self, and only have the right to proclaim i have become superior to that of my former self (having walked in my own shoes).
I'm ok with judging others, but not into being superior too.
I do affirm the Buddist's view of old souls and young ones. i've met a old soul kid yrs ago - rare, and run across old folks with young souls - sadly not as rare.
sadly wisdom is a rare trait among mankind.
Informative, insightful, personal, non-defensive, equanimous, eyes on principle, somewhat concise … good reply, gaffo.

Thank you Sir! i look forward to more post from you and debate - agreements and sparing - for the greater good of gaining more wisdom for both of us.
i wish you well and until our next conversation, may you have a good day Sir.

FYI - "Motherless child" was a "slave song" 19th century. Sweetwater made it popular in 69.
there was a 30's movie with child characters singing it, but forget the movie - saw it many years ago.

Nirvana - Very Ape
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBKzAASkkxw
[Verse 1]
I am buried up to my neck in
Contradictionary flies
I take pride as the king of illiterature
I'm very ape and very nice
[Verse 2]
If you ever need anything please don't
Hesitate to ask someone else first
I'm too busy acting like I'm not naïve
I've seen it all, I was here first
[Chorus]
Out of the ground
Into the sky
Out of the sky
Into the dirt
[Verse 2]
If you ever need anything please don't
Hesitate to ask someone else first
I'm too busy acting like I'm not naïve
I've seen it all, I was here first
[Chorus]
Out of the ground
Into the sky
Out of the sky
Into the dirt
Out of the ground
Into the sky
Out of the sky
Into the dirt

Foo Fighters - Good Grief.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzHBKqSDUI0
[Verse 1]
Since I'm putting down all of the true things around, but I like it
Handed down the crown, given the jewels and the answers of May
The thought of being ousted comes and goes, comes and goes
When I think about it, the wind blows
[Hook]
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
[Verse 2]
Run me out of town, somewhere a move might intended a gown at
Pissed at all the bowels, always the blues and a delicate smile
Missed all of the sideways, gull and noun, gull and noun
Chills and petty band-aids, wrapped around
[Hook]
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
[Bridge]
Good grief
Good grief
[Verse 3]
Since I'm putting down all of the true things around, but I like it
Handed down the crown, given the jewels and the answers of May
The thought of being ousted comes and goes, comes and goes
When I think about it, the wind blows
[Hook / Outro]
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it
I hate it

Twenty-first century schizoid man

Poets starving, children bleed
Nothing he's got he really needs
Twenty-first century schizoid man

King Crimson - Starless (live in Takamatsu, Japan, 2015 tour: Radical Action to Unseat the Hold of Monkey Mind)
[Verse 1]
Sundown dazzling day
Gold through my eyes
But my eyes turned within
Only see
[Chorus]
Starless and
Bible black
[Verse 2]
Old friend charity
Cruel twisted smile
And the smile signals emptiness
For me
[Chorus]
Starless and
Bible black
[Verse 3]
Ice blue silver sky
Fades into gray
To a gray hope that all yearns
To be
[Chorus]
Starless and
Bible black
[Instrumental]
Note: Apparently they reversed verse 2 and 3
