A:Are you saying that in poor black areas the law is not enforced?
AS: No, I am saying, that within MOST poor white areas that are heavy Christian, it is socially unacceptable to commit a crime such as a mugging, even if you listen to their music (country) most of it is sentimental be-kind-to-your-neighbor tear jerking stuff. That is not the trend with poor black music...which I think would be an embarrassment to sing a Donny and Marie style Rap...."I'm a little bit country...and I'm a little but rock and roll" It seems to me music is a representation of the sentiment of what is popular within a group. Not that it can't change within that group, but that during the time and culture what is socially acceptable in one area may or may not be in another. Rap and/or 'black' music in america speaks of what they like to listen to. It is not the same lyrics that most poor white areas listen to...not that they don't have 'little house on the prairie type lyrics, just most I have heard is about violence, sex and such...which by the way is considered "hip and cool" unlike most country music (although, since Bush, country music is way trendy now and it's almost as if you don't listen to it...you are unamerican or something).
I am not defending myself to you mind you...as I already know you think I am racist...and experience has shown me, once someone has something in their head about you, there is nothing you can do to change their mind...so I won't try. I am only trying to give you a flavor of the underlying tone/sentiment in the US now. From what I gather it is far different than in the UK as far as groups of people.
I take it there you have to be wary of everyone...even the kindly looking grandma pushing a stroller with her grandchildren in it down the street...that is if she even dares to venture out of her home.
A:Are you saying that there are no poor black christian areas?
AS: No, I am not saying this either. Yes there are..these would be in the bible belt as well...and I think in these areas there is less crime.
A:That Texas has no black people and there are no murderers?
AS: Of course Texas has black people and murderers...but if you commit a crime in Texas the punishment is much more harsh. I think they have a lower rate of crime in Texas. Religion coupled with harsh punishment lowers crime, I think. Except when religion teaches you must kill other religions.

Tennessee appears to be pretty bad,

And appears to be majority white.

Although Alaska appears pretty rough if you're a woman.
A:I'm not doubting what you say but Tom is clearly trying to imply that race is a factor in criminality due to it being a racial trait and if that is the case I wonder why he doesn't talk about Hispanics but concentrates upon blacks. I also wonder why, if what he implies is true, there are seriously high violent crimes statistics in nations that have no black population.
AS: I am sure he would talk about hispanics if he lived where there were alot of hispanics. He probably doesn't see alot as we don't like the cold weather. lol But seriously, most hispanics I know are Catholic, so the same applies...if a neighborhood has alot of religious folk...most times it is a safer neighborhood.
But is it true that we all can from 2 people? and if that is true how is it we are all different races? I guess I just don't know how it all came about sigh..
