Yes! And its amazing how they use justifications to cover up the justifications. It's like listening to a pathological liar try to talk their way out of something.Godfree wrote: The term red and dead , refers to galaxies , so Galaxies red and dead ,

I see that you have raised the subject of whether it makes sense that space could be finite in extent. In addition to that problem is the question of whether it makes sense that time extends into the past for eternity. The late medieval writer, Thomas Aquinas, tried to argue that there must have been a beginning moment. Here's a thread if you want to get into the details viewtopic.php?f=26&t=11088

and yet even the definition of time can and will be argued ,
Time is a man made invention , or hours minutes days and years are ,
that is not to say we made the universe by giving it a name ,
the universe didn't come into being when we came up with the name ,
time has existed forever ,we , johnny come lately , have put a label on it ,
wow , big deal , as if time or the universe care ,,!!!

I have already said yes to your question ,

what entropy has to do with human existence ,
therefore we conclude he doesn't know himself and was just trying to appear clever ...

No i don't think im particularly clever. Im getting to my point since you finally acknowledge that resources available to man are finite.Godfree wrote:I have already said yes to your question ,attofishpi wrote:So just to clarify...are we in agreement that the resources available to man are finite?

Your lack of resourcefulness in actually picking up a dictionary and comprehending a point i make on a rather simple word called entropy should not be flagged as an attempt to 'appear clever'. I call it a simple word since, for my argument, it is simply another way of stating that the resources available to man are finite, which you finally agree on.
Previously you were in disagreement since you overlooked the term entropy...your answer to my question when first posed was that the resources available to man are infinite. So if that makes me appear clever since it made you appear stupid, then fair call.
So when considering that the resources available to man are finite, then we can consider that man will take drastic measures to ensure its own survival by increasing the efficiency of our own being, our own existence...Do we still agree?

You seem to be in your own little world ,what has "mans drastic attempt to ensure it's own survival"
got to do with the universe being infinite or not ,,????
if you think you are going to produce these lame attempts at logic , get me to agree to them ,
and then conclude you were right all along ,
you really aren't that clever ,
and let the record show , you still have not demonstrated that you know any more about entropy ,
than I do and I have already admitted thats almost nothing .
thermo dynamics ,,whats that got to do with the size of the universe
what entropy has to do with human existence ,

It appears we are talking about different topics.
I am continuing our conversation re the possibility of a 'God', where you responded to my statement:-
"an ensuing entropy...dictates with a very high probability that a 'God' of some sort WILL eventually exist...
You responded with:-
"Ok so lets try and list them in order of probability ,
1 ,,An infinite universe in which we evolved .
2,,A finite universe in which we evolved ,
3,,God did it ,
Would you agree with that order , if not what order would you put them in ,??"
Does my post make more sense now?

I am trying to get you to put a probability on your god existing , or not as the case may be ,
"very high probability" , is not a % , can you be a little more precise ,
I give a infinite universe with no god ,, 99% chance of being real ,
and your "very high" ,, I give that less than 1% chance of being real ,
and I give a very low probability that you will ever make sense here ,,!!!

The funny thing is that you fear elaborating on how you know, probably because someone might be capable of ripping your evidence to shreds.attofishpi wrote:You're asking someone who knows 'God' exists what probability it has of existing.Godfree wrote:NO , your posts never answer my questions they just pose new questions ,attofishpi wrote:Mmm...im not sure whether to laugh or pull my hair out.

Re: The universe expands ...
What evidence? Its not like 'God' communicates with one via a mobile ph where ph records might be provided. If 'God' wished to be proven i guess it would leave hard evidence and it certainly did no such thing with me.SpheresOfBalance wrote:The funny thing is that you fear elaborating on how you know, probably because someone might be capable of ripping your evidence to shreds.
The only 'evidence' i can provide i did via my website.

Yes thats why I can't get a straight answer from you ,attofishpi wrote:What evidence? Its not like 'God' communicates with one via a mobile ph where ph records might be provided. because you know your answers will only make you look like a fool ,
since you cant explain it I will ,
the reason I was on about the size of the universe in relation to god existing or not ,
is because an infinite universe did not have a beginning , a moment of creation ,
if you accept the universe is infinite , then you are doing a schizo flip to also believe in god ,
so Atto is one of the people who base their reality on something with a probability of close to zero ,
just to make sure you don't get even more confused ,
there is ZERO proof for the existence of god ,
there is a mountain of proof for evolution , both of us and the stars and planets ,
but you will ignore the mountain of evidence in preference for something ,
with ZERO proof , your world is based on nothing , fantasies and illusion ,
it's no wonder I can't get any logic out of you ...

Whether the universe is FINITE or INFINITE makes NO difference to that fact...get the whole bible 'creation' away from your short sighted mind.
Show ME ONCE where you have made me appear a FOOL.
If i thought you had a grain of intelligence that would be worth debating with YOU as to how a 'God' could form as a result of causality and entropy i would...but for me it would be like debating with a chimp that happened to find a laptop with an internet connection.

Facts , clearly you are a fool , and this demonstrates it perfectly ,
facts are things for which we have proof , just incase you have a very short concentration span ,
there is ZERO proof for the existence of god , you tried to say such a thing in your previous posts ,
"what evidence" , and god never left any hard evidence for you ,??
so what are you basing your 100% on ,,???
being a fool you probably don't even know yourself , so I shall explain it for you ,
I shall try to use little words , we wouldn't want you to be confused by words like entropy ,
your 100% is your desire for it to be true , you want it , therefore you believe it ,
your that simple ,,!!!
