I can tell my favourite musical artist, all things considered.
More specifically, my favourite since I first heard her.
I first heard her with her first album I listened to, which wasn't her first, and you had to buy it to hear it.

I believe that music is appreciable in many different ways. From his free reference, to his phonic sound, to his uniqueness: on this last point I think it is good to notice that as a new song can suggest new emotions, a new listening of the same song can suggest the same as others, based on mimesis between the soul and its internal relations, like a memory or a fantasy, and external, like a musical phonia.

I pretty much agree with you on this, Walker.

Her first studio album (Song to a Seagull) was my first introduction to Joni back in 1969.

It was mostly just her and her acoustic guitar wherein her unique chording style was a perfect accompaniment to the beautiful wording of her songs. To me there was something about her songs that seemed to embody what the so-called “hippie” spirit of that era was all about (at least its feminine aspect).

Yay!

My first was Hijera.

She transcends feminine.

Her early work is ethereal. Angelic.

Ha, this is kind of funny...

While browsing Joni’s Wiki page today, I just now discovered that during the mid 60’s, I lived approximately 5 or 6 miles away from where Joni was living at that time.

According to Wiki, she lived at the Verona Apartments in Detroit, Mi., while I lived about 6 miles away (as the crow flies) in the Detroit suburb of Hazel Park, Mi.

She evidently performed at coffee houses that were quite close by.

Alas, if one could only go back in time knowing what one knows now.

You probably would have fallen more in love with her.

Got the Weather Report sound going on here, with the bass.

Teenage Fanclub - Going Places

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yT8aHVVeFDQ

Bound in motion
Found my headwind was blowing fine
I've requested the stars to shine
For words that no longer rhyme
Drank the ocean
Moved my feet to a different sound
Tried to find what was left unfound
It's funny how it lets you down
Just kick my feet off the ground, I'll embrace the sky
I've got no beat in time, got no place in line
Got the notion
That this rain's never gonna last
'Cause the scene always moves too fast
I've read all about the past
Just kick my feet off the ground, I'll embrace the sky
I've got no beat in time, got no place in line
Just kick my feet off the ground, I'll embrace the sky
I've got no beat in time, got no place in line
Just kick my feet off the ground, I'll embrace the sky
I've got no beat in time, got no place in line
