I think you mean skim-read as speed-reading is a very useful skill. I recommend Tony Buzans book http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Speed-Readi ... b_title_bk. Many successful people have such a skill and I think it should be taught in education.

Its not labour as in the main it takes very little effort so far as I think it recreation not work.
