Why are Americans so obsessed with eggs? I thought no one cooked over there. Eggs take sooooo much effort and worse, they are HEALTHY. They are a lot more expensive here than they are in the US but I still buy them. Other than that I don't tend to have discussions about them.

I think issue is not eggs as such but their price is very visible part of prices for food going up overall.

Yes we cook - eating out or even takeout is way too expensive.
