Earth - the 'sinking ship' - nah. My experience of GOD & just as importantly HEAVEN - (here on Earth) - it's all sorted, like a flick of a switch - if the entity decides to - now that's a good reason for optimism, *from my POV.

We, humanity have a challenge and the likes of atto - (even now that I am no longer on the same team as the WOKE idiots and happy to be with
Trump & Farage and REAL thinkers like Musk & Androcies )

Climate change could be addressed and resolved quite easily. In fact - we are now arbiters of the planet's climatic condition. We are in fact capable of 'terraforming' the planet to keep it at just the right climatic conditions of Earth 1.0 - the Goldilocks Earth.

In current tech go Nuclear.

In places like Oz, California, Africa use saltwater instead of fresh water in Helio Power stations - mirror arrays pointing at a central tower thus driving a steam powered turbine - result:--> fresh water & electricity two things required in those locations.

Please remember that even nuclear energy is ultimately unsustainable. Nuclear energy plants are made of concrete and metals and plastics and so forth and these break down and need replacing or demolition.
Each time you make a cup of tea you use energy to keep yourself hydrated. Something must die for you to stay alive. Optimists are blinkered. Even pessimists can't do sufficient to stop the big process of ----I have forgotten the word; it means that forms all tend towards dissolution. Maybe someone will help me out with the word I am looking for.

The Goldilocks Earth is true.But it is not sustainable forever, life is a brief period in the story of Earth.

Folks may as well be cold and miserable until the end because you know, suffering builds character. Until then, perhaps the combined forces of global warming and global cooling that produce Climate Change, rather than producing doom, produces the dynamic stasis of stalemate which such a standoff of climate hot and climate cold just might be, gifts of natural forces like all the stored sun energy in the earth for Man the Tinkerer to shape with his made-in-the-image-of powers that only he possesses, he amongst all the animals and therefore making him not the body of an animal. After all, dolphins may be smart but they cannot emulate creation now, can they. When all that sacrifice that can’t prevent adaptable parrots from living at sea, despite all the human sacrifice to the Priests on the alter of Climatology, when the sackcloth and ashes in the name of the planet can’t stop the galaxy from being swallowed up by a black hole, then WTF is the point of anything?
