I doubt it would include fat ugly men that actually think they are women.

But they couldn't manage to be creative without adding to the splits already out there?
Yes it never ceases to amaze me that those demanding tolerance (*trans are < 0.5% of the population) are continually poking their stick at others in an attempt to what? See what we will tolerare?

I've looked a bit to see what the officials have said in face of the reactions. Some say it was not intended as a retake on the Last Supper. Some say it was. I've seen images that put the Davinci's last supper over it and it sure looks intentional. It's also not the trans per se, but the range of images: a headless bloody figure, nude figures, the mixing of paganism into Christianity. I mean, I'm not a Christian, more of a pagan. I think any religion is up for pardoy, mockery, reinterpretation. It just seems way out of place here and seems intended to cause the reactions it is creating, given that it would be easy to make some other gesture at inclusion that did not specifically go after one religion. Heck, there is even a feminist critique of drag queens. But that doesn't seem to make it into the discussions because, at least it seems, the point is to make everything a battleground for right vs. left without nuance or complexity.

The Russian athletes are there, the Russian flag is absent. It's still the Olympics. Sort of like the ATP and the WTA, if you will.
There are very few. No ROC. None in gymnastics.

'Interesting' that the video has been taken off the internet. Clearly France is ashamed of its opening ceremony.

"are continually poking their stick at others in an attempt to what? See what we will tolerate?"

Exactly. It's a complex defense mechanism designed to make otherwise normal people feel guilty for what they've become. What they're doing is trying to destroy themselves and force u to watch em do it. It's passive aggressive impotence. When u are powerless to change your world, u can at least destroy yourself and hope everyone is watching.

Ah, probably because I did a search on utube yesterday for the entire ceremony - watched it right through - about 25mins and didn't see one tranny, so maybe they cut it out.

Have you ever seen a sitcom on TV where a family eats dinner? The side of the table towards the camera is always empty, not becasue they are stealing from Da Vinci, but because they are dealing with the same problem he had of having a portion of the scene presented obscured by the back of somebody's head.

This is not a ripoff of the Last Supper it is just the basic science of framing an image for presentation

This (German) Bacchus and Ariadne might be... but it is good for this demo because it shows the problem of the person with their ass to camera...

The Olympics is a pagan festival, clebrating religious rites in the pre-Christian world. Why would a French team not design their celebration of that with a bunch of stuff about Greek Gods - there's a lot of genuine French art about that subject, and I don't know if you've ever met any Frenchmen, but what I find much less likely is that they would make their opening ceremony about an Italian painting, by an Italian artist, that's in Italy when all the art about Dionysian Bacchanals, some of which is French either by origin or resides in French galleries, is the relevant body of work.

This is just a case of Christians making everything about themselves, as they invariably do, and only knowing about one painting.

FFS. The whole ceremony was garbage. And since when were drag queens a 'sexuality'? Men in womanface are now a 'marginalised minority group'? Why not circus clowns? How about 'including' them as a 'vulnerable, oppressed group'? If drag queens feel so 'marginalised' and 'vulnerable' then take off the fucking wigs, bad makeup and dresses. Sorted! Great thunking misogynistic men are 'vulnerable'? Yeah right. Women are vulnerable. Children are vulnerable. Great thunking testoserone-fueled men are NOT VULNERABLE
