we have other possibilities besides working ourselves to death for the
benefit of others, like our corporate masters...

how do we survive our soul crushing world?
Here's a possibility.

Begin by purposely protecting, as opposed to purposely destroying, the bodies that are used by souls to experience the world. Obviously to do that things must change. Begin with ending the individual need for an abortion.

Abortionists screwed up. They used to demand abortion only in rare circumstances, when necessary. One can see what they did with that. There's your lie, guy. Now, they demand abortion on demand. Now, any reason including a whim is justification for abortion, and to their horror look what the SCOTUS did with that reasoning. It said, that loopy logic ain't in the Constitution.

Nevertheless, in the USA, rare abortion has turned into any reason, any time, even the time right before birth.

And if you don't bow to that demand, then they say you're persecuting women.

That's how twisted the Left is.

Here's another possibility. Abandon the insane social-engineering and fiscal policies of the Left. Cut taxes and drill baby, drill. Drill deep if you must and if you can, but if you can't then shale oil will take up the slack.

in most countries biological parents are by default the legal guardians for eighteen years, maia, so hardly 'a few months' as you say.

plus if you make abortion illegal as a result cities and states suffer a spike in the number of adoption kids and have to spend more on state foster care and stuff. I'm telling you it's a bad idea. watch what happens. the exact opposite of what the right thinks will be the lesson learned. instead of greater responsibility, kids will be getting pregnant more often cuz they know eventually the state will take up the burden, etc. this is the way of the future, Maia. a MAPA future. make america pregnant again.
I think this is a broader indictment on society, more than anything else. Responsibility needs to be instilled in people from a very young age. Allowing abortion won't cure the underlying problem, and in fact removes responsibility from people to act sensibly.

Why would I need brail, Gary?
Because you don't seem to be thinking very clearly without it.
As you know, that's no answer. How does braille cause one to think more clearly?
Good grief.

The world isn't like that, though, unless you allow it to be.

Stand down taxitarianvegedermy.

"I think this is a broader indictment on society, more than anything else. Responsibility needs to be instilled in people from a very young age." - Maia

that is definitely a discussion to be had, but we have no time for that now. to noticably lower unwanted pregnancy rates you'd have to do something major to the way society is structured, somehow change or eliminate the circumstances that lead to those unwanted pregnancies. for example we know it's generally a lower class and poor demographic getting abortions. now what could be done here that wouldn't be drastic in consequence... and what could even be done here as far as state interference, policy, law? By the way, does your reader recognize italics?

anyway you see what i mean. that discussion has been had and liberal capitalist economies are structuring societies and their cultures. on the problem of abortion, now, there isn't anything that could be done that wouldn't be considered a radical interference and infringement on personal rights and freedom.

in any event yeah that's a philosophical discussion that's been had, but it's separate from the discussion about the rightness or wrongness of abortion, what constitutes a human being, what constitutes endangerment to the life of the mother and child, etc.

I think it starts with education. The school system is simply no longer up to the job of creating new, responsible citizens, and the consequences of this are all around us. But changing people's attitudes has to start somewhere, and abortion seems like the obvious place to start. The very fact that there are people around who deny that unborn babies are human shows how far we have already fallen. Presumably the feeble of mind should be killed next, and any who can't speak up for themselves. Especially, of course, the poor.

No, my reader doesn't recognise italics.

You're more than a few shades too light with the reasoning, Gary. Lead me through the clarity process, because Braille is simply a method of sensory input.

That's how the human race persists, Einstein. Are you one of those crazies who says humans should not exist, for the sake of the planet?

Oh come on. Really now.

Here's the path of logic.
I recommend it for philosophy.
It's much more effective than your emotionalism.

1. You are surviving, right now. Style of survival is superfluous to the point.
2. You think the big bad world is crushing your soul.
3. How are you surviving?
4. The essence of your answer, whatever it may be, is the same for everyone.

It's a simple four-point plan.

Thus, today's lesson, for Gary:
If you get hung up on the leaves, you forget about the taproot, then you're a sap.
