You are right.

On the other hand, it is not a search that is done out of simple curiosity.
It depends on what prompts us to look for.

In my case there is this horror of nothingness, which I have always exorcised but never overcome.
And then there is evil. Which becomes more and more unacceptable to the point of making me hate myself.

And it is precisely this condemnation of myself without appeal that snatches me from Nothing.

Evil without hope of redemption is perhaps the arduous road that leads to God.

To be seeking and needing love from an external source will never be available for you, why? because the real not fake you is in a constant state of isolation. Waking up from the dream of separation is the return to yourself, the only self. Hardly any one wants to wake up from this dream of separation because the thought of being totally alone in the world is terrifying. Those who do not resist the awakening from this apparent dream of separation often find to their surprise that it was the greatest love of all, it was the end of cravings, of wants and the constant desire to have your own personal needs met by external things, namely other people.

It has taken me a long time to fully accept and understand the religion of love.
I now shave my hair off, wear no make-up, wear the same clothes for years and years...have become celibate and have chosen to live alone in solitude for the rest of my life. Something amazing happened, I allowed myself to awaken, and have never been happier or more blissed out than I am right now. Why, because I did not resist the chance to wake-up from the dream of separation that society imposes on your from the moment you are born.

Since allowing myself to break free from the shackles and chains of humanity and it's ways, I'm now living free as an animal, I am an animal, I am as nature is, completely natural and care-free, and totally fearless of dying.

Christianity is no simple philosophy or set of beliefs. There are many things that Jesus says that could set a foundation for a religion of love. But there are other things Jesus said that can also be used to support, well, at the very least, not love. And then there is the rest of the Bible. Then there are the practices of the Church (es). In Catholocism we have celibate priests. This could seem neutral in relation to love, but actually seems to contribute to sexual abuse. And is it really loving to the priests themselves. Just as one practice out of many. Then there is the way the church has been a secular power in socieity and how it relates to secular powers. What it approves and doesn't and so on. How women are portrayed has led to or justified at least a lot of cruel relations to women. And so on.

So, Christianity is many things. And some them could be argued to be parts of a religion of love. Others can be seens as a religion of hate. Others are complicated but negative - in my view. Many things are neutral or potentially so.
