Would you be so kind as to advise, on how I can possibly upload a new avatar? as the 8k maximum size is hindering the process.

Then with that, open your oversized picture, select image > Resize / Resample To keep the shape, you want to tick the box to preserve aspect ratio, and then in the set new size, only change the larger of the two numbers. For this site, that number is max 80 pixels. If I had left that box alone and made this 80 by 80, it would fatten the image by 33% After that, just ok it and then go file > save as and you will be ready to go.

It also makes searching through vast lists of posts for people a LOT easier (that weird thread "Christianity" for example!)
Do you use a PC\Mac or Tablet btw? - i'm sure Dangerpants web method will suit, but if you want to capture something from a video on UTube for example, don't forget on a PC you can use <ctrl> + <print-scrn> to capture the moment of the video you want - then put it into that site FDP suggested and work from there. (Mac uses command + something I think??)
