If we want to DISTRACT to this length and go so far astray, then would you also like to talk about "flipper, sandy, and bud" and/or "mr ed and wilbur" as well?

I think the realization may be dawning upon Age that those critters he loved to watch during his childhood are fine examples of anthropomorphism, and he’s trying to figure a way out of his goof.
How does the Oxford English Dictionary define anthropomorphism?
Answer: with care.
What is the definition of anthropomorphism from the Oxford English Dictionary?

Which renders good for bad, blessings for curses.

But I know none, and therefore am no beast.

Damn. Nature has devised some nasty tactics*. King of the aquatic jungle. Any human tactics mirrored, e.g., street gangs?

Anthropomorphism is sometimes right on, as we have qualities that are in common with other animals. Both Anthropomorphism and its opposite are powerful means of putting vitality into ones writing when one works it both ways, for example, animal qualities to humans. I don't know what the term might be, but one can also use nature in general to make a more powerful statement about the drama of life, and again it's the opposite when one personifies the physical world as having human qualities such as hate, and revenge or indifference. It seems to have a powerful unifying power to affect communications, not unlike the use of metaphor.
