As I had stated in this OP;Belinda wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 9:46 am There are good ideologies and bad ideologies(sets and systems of belief). Looking around, it seems to me most Muslims are not greatly interested in religious ideology(set and system of belief) but rather in religious practices such as prayers, clothing, and diets. The strong injunctions towards social order in the Koran seem to me to be a lot more important to Muslims than the injunction to kill non-Muslims. These two sets of injunctions are , in a modern democracy, mutually incompatible and Muslims who are normally practical people choose to be social beings as far as killing non Muslims is concerned as that is firmly against the law.

- A Muslim is one who had Entered into a Contract with Allah.
Since a Muslim had signed a contract with Allah, he has no choice but to comply with all commands from Allah. There is a proviso in the Allah-Muslim contract, i.e. within his ability, e.g. a leg amputee is not expected to walk and run to comply with Allah's command.
As such, it is within the ability of all normal Muslims to war against and kill non-Muslims as commanded in the Quran upon any slightest threat to the religion. [Q5:33 - fasadin]. In Allah eyes, there is no excuse for these normal Muslims not to do they duty to kill non-Muslims upon any threats to the religion.
This is what the Muslim in the OP did, no excuse given and carry out Allah's command as duty - i.e. beheaded the person who merely discuss [did not draw] the cartoons.
I agree the majority of Muslims would be prefer to normal human beings inclined to do the rituals [5 pillars of Islam] and if they are aware will avoid the ugly and evil bits in their contractual terms.
But the reality with Islam is there are 1.5 billion of Muslims around the world and 20% [best guess] has an active evil tendency - that is 300 millions of evil prone Muslims of various degrees.
Even if we reduce that to 1% that is still 15 millions and it only took 18++ to do a 911.
Can you see the critical and fatality of Islam and the evil prone Muslims in this sense.
There is no cure for Islam because the evil doctrines as terms of contracts with Muslims are immutable.
DNA wise, there is also no immediate cure for the 20% evil prone humans.
Thus the most rational solution is to get rid of the doctrine of Islam [which is immutable and the good & evil cannot be separated], so that the evil prone has nothing to feast on to commit evil acts driven by its evil doctrine.
Do you agree with the above at least in theory on the basis of rationality?
Because of the inherent and avoidable existential crisis, AT PRESENT [not future] the majority of humans [rich, poor, whatever] are driven towards some sort of religion.I do agree Xianity is a religion of belief rather than practise, and that this results in the ideology(set and system of belief) of Xianity being more important to Xians than theirs is to Muslims. When Xians have strayed from 'Love all even enemies' an alternative ideology(st and system of belief) has taken the place of 'Love all even enemies'. This is frequently if not always an ideology (set and system of belief) that glorifies and legitimates greed in its various guises. Indeed Xianity is sometimes slated as a religion suited only to the poor and down- trodden. It is actually quite hard to picture any rich man as a good man, at best he is a good man despite his wealth.
This is why the majority will gravitate toward Christianity or Islam which are the prominent religions.
There is only a small % who personal choose or convert into Islam or Christianity. The majority are born into their religion.
Both Christianity and Islam focus on beliefs and practices.
There is no alternative to the 'love all even enemies' because there is no way to change the terms of the contract the Christian has entered into with Jesus/God.
Whenever you refer to Christianity or Islam, don't forget the imperative contract/covenant.
If there is any change of terms from the imperative contractual terms, then what is practiced cannot be Christianity-proper or Islam-proper.
