How very PC. God is a character in a book, and I'm pretty sure it was a male character (hence Jebus being also a male character).
Authors can name their fictional characters whatever gender they want, they can just write it in, however the reader of it's own written story has no image of itself, nor has any notion of a gender, the reader can only identify itself via association with the character written within the book that no one is writing.

Silence is the only knower you idiot, the flapping of the lips is the silence known.
Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the flappiest flapper of them all?

That's helpful.

Are you talking about yourself again?

I'm just listening and observing DAM...as others do for you too. I can see that my observations stir you up. It seems like the right thing to do when people seem obsessively stuck or serious about ideas.

It takes two to tango. I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.
Thanks for the dance Lacy

I couldn't have done it without yer

it does seem as though we might be stepping on each others toes a bit though huh?
And yeah, if the actors and actresses in Londons west end or New York theatrical on stage drama's did not take their acting roles seriously, would you even be bothered to watch them ?
Nah, you'd probably walk out of the show, cuz it'd be like, what the fuck is this

would it not?

I actually quite like you, and please don't faint when you hear that.

And we've both got scripts.
Mine is for a spiritual comedy. What's yours for? That's actually funny to consider that people's scripts on the same stage can be for completely different genres.

Well, I ask that a lot on this forum... and I'm still here... I guess because it's so entertaining to ask that question.

Mine is also for spiritual comedy. I like the reply you left on the Steve Klinko thread bye the way, I resonated with that idea of yours.
For me life is all vanity and entertainment for my entertainment only. I come here to laugh at myself as and when I read every comment I make back to myself. It's how I stay sane, by laughing at myself.

I know that when ever I want to have a good belly chuckle, all I have to do is come here and reread what I have written, and then I'm off on one
I hardly ever laugh at anyone elses comment though, I prefer my own nonsense

I do the same thing...although I'm mainly laughing at the creative insults I come up with.

Some of the best are in my old exchanges with Bob Evenson. When I got on a roll like I did with him, it could be a comedy routine. Hilarious. (I felt fondness for him even though he was utterly bizarre and exasperating at times. I feel fondness for pretty much everybody.)
Sometimes I come across stuff that I've written and I think, wow I was inspired that day -- that's good to remember!
I pretty much don't take any of it seriously because I think the universal potential for creativity and awareness and expression is so vast and without some ultimate agenda. So, for me it's about being as present as I can be in the moment... and sometimes I'm taking flight... and sometimes I'm breathing fire... but I'm always trying to communicate honestly... and I'm always hoping to (in the entertaining process) shake loose any chains that unknowingly bind any of us.

LOL

Now we're talking the same language. I know what you mean here. You laughing at your creative insults you come up with, made me howl. I love that about you. You to me are a very silly naughty funny girl in the nicest possible way. I know your heart and I know you mean well, in your own unique jokey sort of mannerism. I know we don't always see eye to eye, but the more I get to know you the more I like you. In a kind of frenemy's sort of way

(joke!!)
Sometimes I think the likes of you and I are just the MISS understood's by the others

God is a male in the same way that Voldemort is a male, and I'm glad you agree that God is a fictional character in a fictional book.
But if you are talking about some figment of your imagination then of course it's going to be whatever you want it to be (even a culturally sensitive, feminist lesbian earth-mother goddess moonbeam), but it's not God. Even if God was a factual character instead of a fictional one I would prefer it to be a male. Women with power are the biggest bitches--especially when it's power without talent or natural ability.
ps. I don't expect you to understand a word I've said. That's ok. You don't need to respond because I don't understand a word of your gibberish either.
(No group hug from me).

Really? The only god that humankind has ever talked about is the one in a book?? I thought there were gods long before that, in many different forms, including females. Why do you perceive everything through PC-colored glasses?
Re above. And in that case you are talking about 'a god' and should refer to it as such.

Didn't I just refer to gods (plural) in response to you claiming that "God is a character in a book"? Are you tangled up in your web today, Veggie? And who the hell is Jebus?

I knew neither of you 'spiritual earth goddesses' would get it.
Btw, there have been plenty of female goddesses: Aphrodite, Athena, Hera, Persephone.......

So you don't believe in God or the bible then. I wouldn't have picked you as an atheist.
