Or Laos, Cambodia, one or two S American countries and most of the Middle East.
Poor little Laos, in America's undeclared war on their land, had more ordinance dropped on them than was dropped in Europe in WW2, kids are still getting their legs blown off from UXO 50 years later, and the US have never really owned up to it nor given adequate compensation.

Not to mention the fact that Kissinger's decision to bomb Cambodia back to the stone age, even though it was nominally a neutral ALLY in this conflict, directly led to the eventual rise to power of the Khmer Rouge and the genocidal holocaust which followed. Perhaps the terms "good" and "evil" have taken on a new meaning since I learned them at school.

On the scale of death and destruction since WW2, it's "our side" that is top of the list beating the Soviet, and Islamic blocs, by far.
I've visited both Laos and Cambodia and can only react with utter horror at the fate of these wonderful people who had to face the thuggery of US soldiers.
Why they do not hate us is puzzling.

I agree. Through the poverty and deprivation they are the most polite and happy people I've met.
