Have you tried? When my wife first decided to cut out gluten she had a difficult time finding gluten free foods, especially in restaurants. The situation has gotten better in the last few years.

Yes, I have. Because I suffered from irritable skin and thought that it might have been gluten. But it wasn´t.
It is easy if you don´t eat in restaurants and like to look simple meals, like for example potatoes with quinoa and whatever your fancy of the day is.

Damn right! I think it was Jack Brabham in the 1960's who revolutionised racing car design. His innovation was to build cars that would last the race, but for all he cared they could fall to bits once they crossed the finishing line. No point being a fit corpse.

It's weird that you say this. I was just thinking today, I have done EVERYTHING that I could ever hope to have done in my life AND SO MUCH MORE. I sit here and think, I have had so much extra time on my hands that I have really not felt a strong desire or need to accomplish, do, or see things.
I feel an emptiness. But at times I wish I had set my bar higher. Just didn't work-out at this time.

BW no offence and in all honesty. If you have ever had any sense, and it may of happened. You wont find it on a trite medium like a forum.
Forums I think are for those who have achieved nothing, but still want to.

Forums are for those who have some extra time and are waiting for something real to happen.
I got hooked on forums watching my grandchildren, they would be playing in the room and I would be in the same room on the computer because, contrary to what others would tell me, I wasn't going to be in a different room to take care of them. And being right there I had some really interesting conversations with the 5 year old.

Forums are for meeting minds that you would not meet in real life, for a veriety of reasons: shyness, long distance, timing etc.
For some of us they provide interesting insights and help us to avoid mistakes that we are not aware of because people in real life tend to be more polite and politically correct.
You can learn something too. I learned about "yanking" (= getting on someone´s nerves for the perverse fun of it) recently.

I agree that this can be true for many people, but that to regularly visit forums is no necessary indicator that any particular individual necessarily represents this notion, but most importantly, one should realize that what constitutes "achievement," each individual decides for themselves. That they are the measure by which they judge what it is to achieve, not necessarily for the younger, yet much more so for the elders. So it becomes increasingly difficult to point fingers, with much accuracy. There's something about getting closer to the end, that seriously changes ones perspective.

I got hooked on forums by looking in the mirror, but then the mirror was blurry and I hadn't cleaned it in a while. Less pedantry more fact doc.

I like pedantry, sometimes it's the only thing I can bring, Don't begrudge me what little I do have.

People often joke of things they fear, case in point, I'm sorry, oh bragging one!
Never has their been a more obvious case of projection! Again I'm sorry. Of course age shall finally set one straight, sure as shit!
So no, opposites don't attract, boisterous fools shall always be both shunned and pitied, but almost never a victim of attraction. That is, once they flash their true colors.

Like your mum, I must ask SOB are you ever contrite?
Opinions are like road signs, you follow them only up to a point.

It was a long time ago indeed that such things would bother me. Thanks for making my case, youngin! I know, "my mother is a whore," right. But then I'd have to ask, "how did you know?"

You mean the truth is the truth no matter how much one runs from it?
You know there's always one that can't leave it alone, to even go so far as to play with it in public, huh blag? Masturbate much? Naw, you're too busy being your hero, right?

When I was 6, I said to myself if I ever became as jaded as these old fucks I'd shoot myself, I may have shot myself a few times but I survived.
That was the point, he that knows nothing knows everything, it's why your self proclaimed pedestal on high could be taken down a little.
I think not grow old, but grow up.
