Well, it has actually solved a few problems, but many still remain a mystery. All the quote is saying is the discovery of the Higgs boson is of little or no help in proving super symmetry and multiverse theories. Super symmetry and the multiverse remain just that at this stage- a theory.
Yes, a theory which is based nothing more than on vague and random mathematical equations. If the Higgs Boson, which itself is scanty, did not prove supersymetry and the multiverse theory, then it obvious that we need to examine them and possibly scrap them altogether, as the article did mention that "Physics is at a crossroads", as said by Neil Turok in the article.

Firstly, the Higgs is no longer scanty. It has been discovered.
Secondly, what is scant is supersymmetry. Certainly the discovery of the Higgs provided hope for supersymmetry, but at this stage apparently nothing has been uncovered, so the theory may well end up being scraped. Only time will tell.
Thirdly, is the realization not to underestimate the importance of the Higgs in terms of support for the Standard Model.
Why would we want to scarp the discovery of something that doesn't support a theory that it was never intended to support? It may well be a another piece in the puzzle, but it was never touted as some type of theory for everything.

BFD. You've gone though a lot of work to reinvent the wheel-- which in this case is called "New Age Religion."
The wheel was a better invention, and remains useful.
