It's like this, Ms. Insult.
No, she's not useless.
Soul? As much as you.
I'm like her?
Not a bit. Not the same age, not the same sex, not the same talent.
And there's a good chance that I'm nowhere near as nice a person as she is, and I don't even know her.
Got anything intelligent to say for a change?

It's just weird. She is a reasonable mimic, but there's no real musical feeling and her performance is very stiff, as if she's trying to keep her face with a flattering expression and doesn't want to mess up her makeup and hair.

Thanks VT - I've known for many years via a DJ friend that the soft cell version was not the original but never got around to looking up and listening to the original.
Quite often when I realise that the newer version that I first became accustomed to was not the original, I still prefer the new version, as in the last few posts.
However, there was an exception when I heard Helter Skelter by the beatles - after being accustomed to U2s version.
Beatles for the win. Here tis:

Voice like a bird.
It very well could be that the sentiment of Greenfields is the hidden emotional force compelling the climate-change brouhaha dreamed up by the boomers.

I consider music to be emotional porn.
But once in a while, when I have a few pints, I do indulge in those emotions. Then I enjoy the 70's. Like
