The "default"? That makes it sound like good is automatic...in which case, it deserves no "praise."
You can't have an act without an actor. So if the deed is culpable, then the actor is the culprit.You blame the evil act but not the person who committed the evil act
It doesn't make any sense to praise something that's merely a "default." A "default" is what happens anyway, all else being equal. It shows no special merit to revert to a "default."You praise the good act and the person for making the better choice.
