I do not think Trump is “deserving” of his position. He gained his position through a whole series of causal factors.
Yes.

And I cannot imagine a greater "causal factor" than people like you (for whatever ulterior motive) voluntarily voting for him.

This is not to say that the alternate choices were any good, but surely there has to be a better solution than the one that teaches our children that you can be...
...the greediest, griftin'-est, cheatin'-est, most pathologically narcissistic, and, above all, the most prolific liar to have ever walked the face of the earth...
...and millions of people will reward you with the gift of power, glory, and fanatical worship.

Again, what message does that send to our children?

Anyway, congratulations, AJ, for you and the ICs of the world are demonstrating the veracity of Bible verses such as this...
"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect". - Matthew 24:24, KJV
All hail the Antichrist (Donald J. Trump) and the False Prophet (Elon Musk)!!!!...

How about we come up with some "mind-piercing" better solutions instead?
Alexis Jacobi wrote: Mon Feb 24, 2025 7:16 pm PS: I paid just $8.89 for my Golden Throne.
Of course.

That's because every once in a while, boot-licking loyalty to the master (again, even if it is for ulterior motives) has its perks.

I trust that you keep the sacred golden idol in a hallowed area of your home, right?

Perhaps by the front door so that for a spiritual boost, you can touch its seat and push its little handle* every time you leave or reenter the house.

*(For just 15 dollars extra, you can get the deluxe "devotees" model of the "Golden Throne" idol, which comes with a handle that actually moves. Surely, that's what the "very elect" would prefer, right?)

Seeds, with respect, you have written the same post, saying the same thing, 7-8 times.

Yes.

I suppose it comes with old age senility.

Either that, or it's because the prior 7-8 times of pointing out to you what should be obvious to anyone with two working brain cells, had no effect on you.

And I'm sure you know the old saying: "If at first you don't succeed,...."

In other words, my old friend, I'm not giving up on you.

Furthermore, come on now, I try to change-up my scathing critique of Trump in fresh ways as is witnessed in my more recent push of the Antichrist angle.

We can't upload pictures anymore here on PN, but you should check out the fun ones I used over on the "ILP" site to justify my claim of Elvis Musk being the False Prophet, here: https://www.ilovephilosophy.com/t/can-t ... about%20we

Anyway, what's your excuse for your repeated ("saying the same thing") defense of the indefensible?

You are better off interrogating me as to my reasons. I have my reasons and I have thought this through.

You could choose to listen and to suspend the desire judge and administer cosmic justice!

What are your reasons for defending the indefensible?

The perpetual jester has thoroughly thought this through, now he's super-duper serious about it.

It would surprise and disappoint me if I learned you could not distinguish what is serious from what is intended as delightful, bubbly humor.

Can we start with a statement from you as to what you refer to with the word “indefensible“?

I would assume that you are aware that you are really making a statement about what you believe must be defended?

English is a gendered language. Simply select the most appropriate pronoun to fit the social occasion.

I don't have a problem with pronouns as I am friends with a transitioned person.I would in any case not be offended whatever pronoun is used to indicate me. People are people not sexes.

Alexis will now speak!

__________

If you, my dear readers, will allow me to make this short, pithy statement I believe it will help us all. Ready?

Please tell me what you seriously think!
You sense that your world is changing. It’s like the ground has jarred violently under your feet but you do not have enough knowledge or understanding to make any sense of it at all. You have little understanding of the causal processes that led to what is happening. And you do not have either the interest nor the will to work to achieve (better) understanding. So the larger part of your reaction is ‘paja’ on one side and simple fearfulness on the other.
