In many religious and philosophical traditions, there is a belief that a soul is "the immaterial aspect or essence of a human being" that lives as a living body.

Cannot be proven atto.

You’d have to be immaterial to know that immaterial actually exists as a real direct experience.

If there is such a thing as the immaterial then that must perish at the exact same time as the body.

What if there is no birth or death for the body — what if there is only the body changing from one appearance to another.
What if birth and death are the same state, just differing in appearance that’s all?

That said, nothing is really reincarnating except nothing itself which is everything always one with itself.
