Yes, only if the resident alien was invited. There were a large number of resident aliens living in Germany and having a good time during Hitler's reign. God's instruction to the Jews included the total destruction of whatever lands god promised to the Chosen People including women, children and even animals. If not destruction then enslavement. Mercy was specifically not allowed by the god of the Jews who supposedly is the god of all. It was a complete scorched policy.

It's true, some of the stuff in the OT even Hitler or Himmler wouldn't have thought of.
But Jeremiah did not write God instructed all that! My point is ideas about God evolved.

If god evolved it was only because he became more silent as time went on. He then mostly spoke through his prophets and their message was more human than the holocaustal ones incessantly commanded by their CEO when he spoke directly in earlier sections of the OT. In short, Yahweh was demoted his role now being supervised by the OT prophets.

What evidence can you give that He's not a total asshole. You get up to Heaven; and, what evidence do you have that one mistake will not end you up in a literal vice for 10,000 years. Maybe your only way, to get a good afterlife, is to worship Freia.

But how else does God speak other than through men and their languages? The older. tribal, Jahweh spoke through holy fire, holy smoke, holy men, holy bush, holy this and that just like the pagans' gods. The older Jahweh was indistinguishable from the pagans' gods. That is, until he proclaimed through the prophet Moses He was the one and only God.

Monotheism was probably not invented by the ancient Israelites but monotheism was carried forward by the ancient Israelites.The OT prophets such as Jeremiah and Hosea evolved God further by endowing Him with interest in hearts and minds of men, besides interest in what they do. Hearts and minds of men were added to God's initial interest in autocratic control .

Hearts and minds remain central to what Xianity ought to be, although fundamentalists show undue interest in the older idea of gods and God as autocratic control. Autocratic control is what the Greek and Roman pantheons specialised in so that these divine autocrats had to be propitiated with sacrifices.

When God took an interest in hearts and minds He relinquished total control to men's consciences.Until very recently all Xians thought God essentially existed as a powerful agent. Now even some Xians can view God as relative to the state of consciousness of the individual man , and the culture within which the individual man has his being.

Well, that's certainly unhelpful. That's always the problem with mystical sentimentalism...it grants the mind no traction, and simply avoids the essential question...which is the question of how anybody knows mystical sentimentalism is "true," since nothing is known to be true anyway.

Let's try again. You asked me how I know. I asked you how you know, because the mechanisms are going to turn out to be similar. But now you're saying you don't know?

IC, you really are as dumb as rocks when it comes to understanding 'true knowledge' and what it is, and what it's true function is.

First of all, don't confuse 'conceptual knowledge' with actual 'knowing'..conceptual knowledge which is what these words are comprised of, is just born of sound, heard as words with associated meaning as believed by the believing brain. On the other hand, there is 'tacit knowing' which is not conceptual knowledge...tacit knowing is just this pure silent knowing beingness. Conceptual knowledge is just a fictional overlay upon what is always and ever this pure silent blank space of being knowing..

In other words, there is no you that has a spouse, there is no one who can love you, except as a fictional story arising from the unknown unknowable... IC, I always prefer to speak real truths, not pretend truths.

I like to put straight the crooked, which is straightened when we know we don't know anything at all, except what we believe or want to be true. And that all this knowledge that we think is ours, is really just arising from the unknown...Therefore, all our knowledge can only ever be an inverse of the unknown unknowable, in other words, knowledge is a fiction that can only point to the illusory nature of reality in that there is NO KNOWER.

But the mind doesn't like knowing there is no knower, it doesn't like not knowing, and is why it will always seek more and more by asking endless questions, never quite knowing that more questions are just more unanswered answers. The mind always seeks for value in the valueless, it seeks for purpose in the purposeless, it seeks for meaning in the meaningless, it even seeks itself, and yet finds nothing, but that does not stop it.

But if that's what your mind wants to do IC, then who am I to stop you from forming information. After all a still mind is like a still wind...
