Lol "and really communicating with our customers to our awards program".

Yes I'd like one scoop of mint chocolate, please. Okay. That'll be $9.75. Thank God we have spectrum. I dunno how we could have communicated this otherwise. Oh, are you interested in our rewards PROGRAM? Yeah, it's a PROGRAM. Program is a word I learned when I got my associates degree in marketing. Don't be intimidated by the technical vernacular, though. It's really quite simple. For every one hundred dollars you spend you get $.25 off your next overpriced purchase.

A point comes in life when a troll has to make a decision. Either he stops being a troll, or he becomes the best goddamn troll that ever lived.

I, myself, was faced one time with having to make this very decision. Though i could no longer take my contemporaries seriously in the ways of philosophy, i retained great admiration for symposiums and the bustling intellectual activity of the people i found there. Try as i did to stay beyond the city gates. i was drawn back again and again.

So, I resolved to become a diogenesean forum troll to loiter around forum marketplaces shouting philosophically outrageous things to annoy people and embarrassing those with the biggest audiences by besting them in argument.

On History Channel at this very moment, there is an episode on God vs the Dizzle, and a hispanic priest is describing an exorcism he once attempted. Had another priest with him. The chick threw the priest across the room like ten feet. She then pointed at the light switch by the door, and the screw backs out, flies through the air and into her hand. She takes the screw and jams it into her forearm.

The guy's sitting right there talking to the history channel camera like it's just another day. No. If you ever actually experience something like that, you are never chill again. It would radically change your life and probably turn you into a half insane paranoid schizo. You wouldn't be calm, cool, and collected priest having just another day at the office.

Shame these guys lie like that to try and bolster their superstition.

Only if a priest thought his lie could somehow actually harm people would he desist from telling the lie to bolster Christianity. And sometimes not even then.

He's basically the alpha white liar who will lie to you in a new york minute if he thought it would turn you into a christian.

What do you know about bouncing bombz? During WW2, the Allies caught hell tryna blow a german dam up. Three times they bombed it, the first two putting only a dent in it. Prob: nothing but a big bomber could carry enough bomb to blow the dam for sure. The little planes couldn't carry a bomb big enough. If you used a bomber, you'd have to be thousands of feet in the air to avoid being shot down... but then your aim would be horrible. You couldn't torpedo that bitch either because the fuckin' Krautz put nets underwater in front of the dam to catch the torpedoes. Vehrzy smaht, zees gurmans.

On the third go, they dropped a remote detonated bomb that blew a big-ass hole at the base underwater. Physics did the rest.

Thereafter, the Allies built the fabulous bouncing bomb and used it to destroy two more german dams. This bomb was a conventional barrel (think oil drum) that carried a bomb in it. It would be dropped so that it would skip and roll across the water, avoiding the nets the Krautz had placed.

What they've done is made it difficult to grow nuclear wage-slave families because of the financial stress put on slave-pairs when they attempt to board 'n breed. As an analogy, the chicken farmer's costs of running the farm are getting dangerously close to the profit they make from running it. The chickens don't know what's going on, but their crowded and stressed out, and like 'meh' about laying eggs. The moral fabric of the farm then starts coming apart. Half of the chickens drop out and become single unskilled lower-class criminals. Chickens start pecking other chickens that don't look like em. Racial tensions emerge.

Finally, there are not enough eggs to pay the farm bills, so the farmers start printing eggs. Now, what eggs the overworked stressed out crowded unambitious chickens do lay lose their value.

It was a decent idea and a cool experiment, but the reality of running a chicken farm is a hard one. Wait until living space can't be increased as populations expand because rural areas are needed for more agriculture to feed the higher populations and so can't be built on. Which way will we go? Up. High-rise wage-slave apartment buildings. You will be packed like lemmings in these yuge shiny metal boxes. You and your slave-mate. If your income and genetic profile permit, you will be allowed to produce a number of wage-slave childrens. If allowed up to two, you will be afforded dwelling accommodations for wage-slave families of three and so forth.

Here's the thing, though. I learned at the age of 12 that i was a philosopher who would sacrifice everything for the troof... even myself. Please recall the stoner (Judd) in the Breakfast Club when he wracks up like five or six days of detention because he insists on getting the last word. Back and forth, he and the teacher guy go.

So when i was in Dorothea's Dixs, they had this punishment called 'thinking time'. By misbehaving, you would earn increments of ten minutes of time during which you would take your room desk chair out into the wing hallway down from the dayroom, put it against the wall and sit in it in silence for x time... watching the hot young meds nurse do her rounds with a boner (you, not her. This was in the days when women were women).

If i felt that the first ten minutes I received was unjustified, i would get into a smart-alec match with the staff while sitting there... each time earning ten more minutes with a wisecrack or fart sound or whatever i could do to piss em off and never surrender. Btw arm fart sounds will carry down a hospital wing at full decibel... sometimes even being amplified by the acoustics of the hallway.

I recall getting thinking time periods lasting whole days. I would wrack up so much time i would see the fuckin shift changes. Twelve year old kid sitting in a chair in the hallway singing songs off the Led Zeppelin 3 album at full concert hall volume. All you could do was put him in a seclusion room, but then he'd start beating the door like a tabla, and that sounded worse than the twelve year old Robert Plant.

For some reason, i simply would not yield and gave no quarter if i thought i was right. And plenty of times, i believed the thinking time was earned and served it without protest. But my commitment to troof was so strong that i would destroy myself before keeping quiet about it. Any other kid would just shut the f*** up, do the little ten minutes and then go back to the foos ball table in the dayroom. But these kids would never become philosophers.

"Without lamps, there would be no light."

The teacher and the janitor had a good discussion.
So did Judd and the janitor.
The janitor was the philosopher.

The only folks who get rich doing piece work are in-demand artists and artisans. And plumbers.

*

Judd the rebel.

Back when everyone had long hair, including me, I got it cut. Decades (hyperbole) before Judd. A long-haired friend asked why and I said long hair is rebellion against the status quo, and now long hair is the status quo. Hair is, affectation to affirm self-concept. Since we were speaking face to face, his reactions were uncharacteristic for him. His face was reacting to new thoughts. Those were the days when the folks we knew sat in a coffee shop and discussed Hermann Hesse on a weekend night, Narcissus and Goldmund as I recall one night, just for fun because it held meaning. Back when some things were to be discovered. Everyone was young, adults, on their own and self-sufficient even though poor, and that makes all the difference. Now, I scarcely remember the book at all. Maybe I'll read it again, and it will likely be a whole new book. Maybe its original appeal was to those with a long future.

Let's say a Ukrainian made his way to the US and shot the orange man because he's selling gas to the Russians who killed his brother.

Would the orange man be able to understand any of this? Could he switch perspectives and see himself through the eyes of the Ukrainian dude. Could he accept that in at least one man's reality, he is a useless scumbag who should be summarily shot? I didn't say he had to agree with it... i aksed if he could merely fathom it.

Phil you've buried the ILP thread, mate. No worries. I'll post it here.

Those familar with the cast of ILP and who study it (for zoological purposes) might note the recent concern expressed by the Nietzsche hatin' cat lady about a missing poster named Ecmandu who hasn't posted in a minute. And yet, not a word has been said about the missing Biggs.

Points of forensic interest:

Biggs was philosophically impervious, hostile, and dismissive to the cat lady. The cat lady could not seduce him into her fantasy circle of online christian friends ruled by her, the matriarch cat lady, who's doing God's work.

Ecmandu was a perfect personality match (a dork), single, and not terribly ugly. Theory: the reason the cat lady is actually here is betrayed at once; a forum is a dating site where neurotic christian women can engage in rescue fantasies and spreading religious dogma, not a place where serious philosophy happens.

Poor Biggs. One of the best goddamn philosophers i ever seen on the boards. I was so happy to see such christian concern expressed about his absence. NOT.

The proof's in the pudding, mates. These people are deranged monsters of a sort so subterranean and horrible that it would take three Nietzsches or one Prom to get to the bottom of em.

Here's everybody's problem. You gotta be so interesting that I'd be willing to put the effort in necessary to live a double life and create a fake history to avoid incrimination and keep you from finding out about my charges. That takes a LOT of work... so whatever you got to offer in an acquaintance with me better be good. If it ain't, I'm gonna tell you I'm a LIFETIME SEX OFFENDER and to f*** off. Now you won't be able to enjoy me.

This is what makes relationships with people impossible. They're too uninteresting for me to want to fake it and too dumb for me to safely not.

Hmmm … promethean75 seems there to be outing themselves as a sex offender. Which would be no laughing matter, though they strike me as the kind of aspiring edgelord who imagines a fake confession is hilarious in proportion to the egregiousness of the crime.

Either way; sh*tposter posts sh*t.

'Edgelord'. I just learned of it, thanks to you, Mick. This is excellent... check it out. Am i the king of the Edgelords or what?

"Internet cynics lumped the online Nazis together with the serial killer fetishists and the dumbest goths and dismissed them all as edgelords — kids who tried to be scary online. I thought of most of these edgelords as basement-dwellers, pale faces lit by the glow of their computer screen, puffing themselves up with nihilism. An edgelord was a scrawny guy with a LARP-y vibe, possibly wearing a cloak, dreaming of omnipotence. Or a girl with excessive eyeliner and lots of Tumblr posts about self-harm. The disturbing content posted by edgelords was undermined by its predictability ..."
