U guys don't know how much this means to me. The nostalgia is overwhelming becuz i was watching MTV when the show first came out. Mike Judge needs to bring them back without changing anything. Same cartoon style and detail. U can't change the graphics or the voices becuz that's the essence of its unique brilliance.

It was probably made obvious rather quickly that Les's playing style was more dominant and independent than the kind of playing style they'd want in a bassist. He plays the bass as a lead instrument (like your boy Geddy from Rush), whereas Metallica just needs a solid simplified bassist who can stay in the back.

Who does that anymore in rock music? Write a concept album with a single linear theme connecting all the songs together. Remember how Rush did Caress of Steel side two, Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres? That's what i mean.

Nobody does that becuz the industry is geared toward producing quick pop hit products that can stand alone as singles on the radio.

I never liked music like this even tho sometimes these bands will come up with something catchy. Normally tho it's as banal as the people who listen to it. U know the type.
