Metaphysics is not only how we can know stuff but also ideas about existence itself.
Exploring ideas of what exists is basic to proper ethics.

I already agree with the statement 90%. But that would run the risk of being regarded as being subjectivist, relativist and overly sceptic?

Idealist but not subjectivist. The only transcendental ethics are good, truth, and beauty. Even justice is hammered out in experience.
