The greatest danger in writing phewsion composition is overextending your solo times instead of changing up rhythms or focusing on instrument phrasing rather than leading or soloing. Eventually it goes to your head and the songs become a platform for u to display your soloing skills. With RTF, Corea always gets way more lead time than Al or Stanley. Band dynamics i guess. Corea was like a domineering nerdy scientology guy who prolly called most of the shots.
