You are about one step away from having a fatwa issued against you.
Thankfully we have the right and the courage to speak our minds here in Europe unlike the USA.

I don't live in Germany or France. But I can burn as many Qurans as I wish - unlike in the USA.

It is not asinine, in fact not doing it is asinine, the reason being that if the government or anybody else tries to oppress your freedom of speech, it is imperative to draw a line in the sand and throw that oppression back in their face. The same can be said about burning the American flag or any other flag for that matter. The U.S. Supreme Court has already said that flag burning is free speech. Unfortunately, there has not been a case of flag burning in the United States for a number of years because the American public has a yellow streak up its back wider than the ones found on a highway.

He lives in New York City because the decadent British government couldn't protect him from the Muslims. Maybe I'll offer him an honorary membership in JAMit!

Nope.
Salman Rushdie lives where he likes. He likes New York because there is less freedom for people who want to practice the Islamic Faith. He is more at home with the atheists who swarm the city.
Anyway I thought you said he was still running. Idiot!
