So stay in the "Fabianism" thread.
Why are you talking about socialism in this thread as well???
Because I was talking to a Socialist. You jumped in -- and it's fine if you do -- but you can't complain about the conversation when you get here, because none of it was, until that point, even addressed to you.
Now, if you don't want to talk about Socialism, then don't. Nobody's making you. But if Gary and I have matters to debate...well, censorship doesn't happen here, and so far as I know, you ain't the mod anyway.

You hijacked the thread that I started. And the subject is Trump as Jesus.

The conversation between me and Gary is the conversation between me and Gary, or between Me and Mike is between Me and Mike, and so on. You're welcome to chime in, or else to ignore us completely; but you can't control or limit the conversation to your tastes. It doesn't work that way.

But he told you: because he is talking to a socialist. That's always what he's done. He sees someone posting in a thread and he identifies that person's main category. Democrat, atheist, socialist, whateverist. And that determines what he talks about.
The threads aren't named after topics; they are named after the categories of the participants.
As he says ' you can't complain about the conversation when you get here, because none of it was, until that point, even addressed to you.' That's a rule, it might even be an ontological law. You can't express opinions about when people hijack a thread, especially people who can't admit they might be or are wrong, unless they are addressing you. Of course, he was addressing you, so now you could.
I don't know where you've been and not know the rules. You came a hair's breath from censoring people and you are not a mod. He says what you 'can't' do and while he isn't a mod, he's talking to a Socialist.
And there is absolutely no motive he might have in hijacking a thread about Trump blaspheming. There's no reason that might be uncomfortable for him.
Also he can't talk to Gary about that because Gary isn't Christian and he isn't a President. How could they possibly talk about the thread topic.
You are being very unfair to IC.
If you missed the new way threads are organized, that's on you.

I thought that the "objective morals" were different than what IC displays on this site.
I have now learned how to treat people correctly.

IC often complains about people being off-topic in his conversations. Have the rules changed, or do IC's rules only apply to other people? Or am I wrong and socialism is "on topic" with "Trump as Jesus"? I'm confused. Of course, I may be making a "category error" here too. That's a possibility, I suppose.

Well, Gary...if you check back, you were the first one to mention "democratic Socialism" here; and if I recall, it was in connection with B. Saunders. After that, you began asking questions about my view of the nature of man, and its relation to the two political polarities in the US. So it was your horse that got us here.
But if you're done, then so am I, and we can make phyllo happy, by changing the subject. I have no objection.

Superstitious nonsense in the 21st century.
God help US.
Yes!!!
What I find fascinating is how uninterested Christians are in challenging the claims of an obvious charlatan and deceiver at odds with their teachings and beliefs. Their Devil, himself, (it would seem) could so easily fool them by simply saying the words they want to hear. And isn't that what their Devil would do? Yet, there is no concern for a wolf in sheep's clothing. The deception could NOT BE ANY MORE OBVIOUS! His actions and attitudes are so incredibly opposite of Christian values and teachings, yet many see him as some kind of savior. I think it's an embarrassing display of how gullible, shallow, and foolish far too many Christians can be! Their God would surely not be pleased!! What would Jesus think of Trump's cruelties and deception? Why aren't these people wiser? They could be setting an example... demanding love and kindness... and they're completely failing. They've become (and they've created) that which they have continually warned others against! It's beyond bizarre.

Hi Lacewing, it's good to see you back in the asylum (I was getting worried about you).
Well, if we are viewing this from the Biblical perspective, then we need to keep in mind some of the "end times" prophecies.
According to Google's AI Overview (emphasis mine)...
AI Overview:
The phrase "I shall send them a strong delusion" comes from 2 Thessalonians 2:11 (KJV). In context, the Apostle Paul is writing about the end times and the "man of lawlessness" (or Antichrist) who will deceive those who have rejected the truth.
Because these individuals willfully "refused to love the truth and so be saved" (2 Thessalonians 2:10, ESV), God ultimately gives them over to what they want. He removes His restraining grace, allowing them to fully believe the lies and false teachings they have chosen to embrace.
.
However, I have made it abundantly clear over the years of posting on this forum, that what I believe America is experiencing is the reaping of the
"necrotizing karma" from all of the death and destruction it has sown across the planet over the last seven or so decades in its imperialistic ventures in pursuit of oil and other resources.

I'll concur with that. No argument there.

Hi! Thank you! I had two critical health scares that ended up vanishing on the follow-up tests.

Since then, I've just been having fun and being productive -- glad to be alive. Still here on planet Earth.

This is fascinating, YES! Wouldn't you think Christians would be more vigilant because of these prophecies? Instead, they seem to think the warnings apply to non-Christians. But I think: That's
not OUR STORY (speaking as a non-Christian, myself), it's theirs.
I get the impression that the Bible was actually written FOR Christians ABOUT Christians/Christianity, and how there are those among them who will uniquely faulter within their own belief system. So, the prophecy is self-fulfilling for those among them that 'don't get it' (true spiritual connection/nature) at a deeper level. Whereas, many people (of all kinds of beliefs and perspectives) could 'get it' at a deeper level... because divine energy is NATURALLY flowing all throughout all and is not limited to any particular belief system. But for those who think it is exclusive, they have set themselves up for a great fall... and the Bible is THEIR story and warning... no one else's.
How shocking it might be to discover divine nature flowing vibrantly throughout all when one might have thought it only existed under a certain name and appearance! But that makes absolutely NO SENSE!
[/size]However, I have made it abundantly clear over the years of posting on this forum, that what I believe America is experiencing is the reaping of the "necrotizing karma" from all of the death and destruction it has sown across the planet over the last seven or so decades in its imperialistic ventures in pursuit of oil and other resources.
_______
Very well could be! There could be so much at work... incredibly vast while incredibly simple... all aligning for balance and expansion on many levels.
I think a great 'sin' for Christians is believing they have a unique connection and access to what is divine -- and that actually sets up the most false and self-righteous among them to act out the worst parts of their own prophecies. Such delusion and deception is kind of dark. This may be what I was noticing as a child in the church: Some people were claiming unique goodness and 'salvation' compared to others, and it definitely didn't feel right, nor make sense.
