I didn't ask for anything. I corrected your misinformation.
You got it wrong.
Which part?
Quite a lot. The claim is that if you are in any Canadian city, even the BEST one you can choose, you can expect that at some point the winter temperatures will be very, very cold...much colder than in California.
Anyway, the bigger point is this: life in the US better than pretty much anywhere else, comparing like to like. That is precisely why so many people from every place on earth are desperate to get in there, obviously. At its lowest point -- such as homelessness -- it's still easier to live there than to be equally homeless anywhere else.
But I'm beginning to be bored of your feigned lack of understandting, so I'm moving on.

Don't go away now. You actually produced something that is worthy of discussion:

Life better in US than anywhere else?

Polls show that about 75% of Canadians oppose becoming part of the USA.

Whether your ignorance is feigned or real? Not worthy of discussion.

Well, that means just 26% need to be converted!

IC, I don't mind your opinions when they are off the wall.
But facts are different.
Do you REALLY think all cities in California are warmer than all cities in Canada?
Do you REALLY think the US comes out on top of best countries to live in?
Are you really unable to do things like look up the climate data for Lake Tahoe CA verus Victoria BC (Canada)?
Are you really unable to do things like look up relative rankings of countries? << by the various standards >>
Younare entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts.

Strange that they don't realize that the US is so much better.
But it should be an easy case to make.

So now it's the, "be happy with what you have and stop complaining". Like so many Christians, I should feel "thankful" that I'm not homeless and "pray" for the homeless. I'm sure that does a lot.
You would be so surprised...if your eyes were ever open.
But here's what you really need, Gary. And it's not from a Christian, but from a Jew. Still, it's excellent perspective.

So do homeless people just have a "missing tile" issue? Do they obsess about a "missing tile" in the ceiling? Next time I see a homeless person, should I tell them to be happy because they could be worse and that they're just focusing on the "missing tile"?

No, Gary. You do.
And if you ever want to be happy in life, you're going to have to lose it.

If averages are considered, and if the US is compared to everywhere I can think of, the US is obviously a better option. People arrive in the US, find work immediately, get ahead quickly, and if they play it right get nicely situated quickly. Even relatively skilled workers can form an LLC for $25, get a business bank account, and with accessible liability insurance start a business in a day. And if they show willingness to work and strive, that is quickly recognized and they can achieve much.
And this is why millions and millions desire, still, to come to the US.

The chronically homeless, generally, have drug addictions and mental issues. A person with a will to get off the street can get all sorts of help and will do so. Fact.

So showing concern for the plight of the homeless is me having a "missing tile" syndrome? Should I not care about the homeless?

No, Gary...you. You. You. I sent the video because you've got the problem. Never mind the homeless, for the moment. Sort
yourself out. Learn gratitude. Or get used to never being happy.
Those are your choices.

I'll try to remember that. However, the topic we've been discussing is socialism, not mental health. It's not about me, it's about building a society that works for the welfare of all.
