If/when I make it to my post #666 (soon), I'm going to devote it to Bob. Perhaps he can use the honor as another divine sign for his portfolio of made-up credentials.
Unfortunately, you don't have the slightest idea what 666 represents, which is the loss of Holy Trinity when Satan cast a third of the stars out of heaven (the Ouzo Cross) in Rev. 12:4, leaving two-thirds or 666 stars out of a thousand.
Also where is this heaven?

So wouldn't that be 66 out of 100, then?
What is this, dum-dum school? Two-thirds is .666 ad infinitum or 666 out of a thousand. Jesus Christ, please don't belabor this any further, OK?

No. Two thirds is .6666 out of 10,000.

Is .6666 not two thirds of 10,000?

I'm sorry, Gary, .6666 is far less than two-thirds of 10,000. It is .0000666 of 10,000. Please, my friend, drink some ouzo with that med.

He doesn't know, Gary. He just likes screaming his fantasies at everyone in large bold font. He has no proof for anything he claims -- except maybe for a few pieces of paper he blew his nose on. And when you get him in a corner, he'll start cursing at you even more. I like your thoughtful questions.

It get's incredibly frustrating talking to Bob, though. I Guess I should follow my own advice and just not talk to him.

Oh this will surely be added to his treasure trove of credentials. Whoopee! Too bad he doesn't know how many stars there are when he tells his archaic stories.

At least I'm honest, Bob. When I make a mistake I acknowledge it.

This is why you must keep it in perspective for the side show that it is. Ask questions for entertainment value (which is possible)... not for getting at truth, which is impossible. You can't find truth where there is none. The discussion will just swirl in circles, sort of like when you flush a toilet. I think this situation is a microcosm of what life is in general. Life is about being entertained; if we expect more than that, we're just swirling in circles. Bob demonstrates this over and over for us. It appears that he doesn't even realize his REAL PURPOSE here. Probably most of us don't realize our purpose. But hopefully we will eventually, and we'll have a good laugh THEN (if we can't do it now), and in the meantime, may we be of good use for a greater good.

You are probably right, Lacewing.
