You just want to keep all the drug lords, rapists, terrorists and child abusers in the country, so the Dems get their program.
There are lots of "processes." Which one accords with invading aliens? It's quite different from that of citizens, as is the "process" of enemy terrorists. Each gets the "process" that is "due," but it ain't the same process.FlashDangerpants wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 2:11 pmYou claimed there is no due process ...
Are you an Old Testament Jew, and are you planning to give a tenth of your income to the Temple in Jerusalem? If not, you've just quoted something that has no relevance to Gentiles in the 21st Century.Belinda wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 2:44 pmOn the other hand:-Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 1:36 pmTheir program is "take power, and milk the American taxpayer for all he's got." "what is a tithe?" The definition comes from Hebrew and means "a tenth." Tithing in the Bible refers to giving 10 percent of your annual earnings, productions, or possessions. In the Old Testament, we observe Abraham and Jacob offering a tithe to God in Genesis 14 and 28.
Your opinions are consistently skewed.FlashDangerpants wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 2:42 pmYou're a really weird little man Walker.
This is an excellent link you’ll appreciate that explains why the Supremes are not and should not be the last word.“The Constitution only had two glaring flaws. The first was the reluctant tolerance of slavery, which was eventually corrected by the 13th Amendment (and a civil war). The second was a lack of restraint on the powers of the judiciary. There are mechanisms for the legislative and executive branches to check each other, but nothing with which to check the judiciary (other than impeachment, the mere suggestion of which threw John Roberts into a full blown hissy fit last month).”
What an excellent resource, well scouted, thank you.

When Jesus overturned the tables of the Pharisees, was he upset that the Pharisees were collecting money in general or was he upset by what they were using the money for? Were tithes required or given at the discretion of the one giving them? Does anyone know the full backstory? Color me curious.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:13 pmAre you an Old Testament Jew, and are you planning to give a tenth of your income to the Temple in Jerusalem? Good question. Here's the answer I believe is correct.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:33 pmWhen Jesus overturned the tables of the Pharisees, was he upset that the Pharisees were collecting money in general or was he upset by what they were using the money for?Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:13 pmAre you an Old Testament Jew, and are you planning to give a tenth of your income to the Temple in Jerusalem? General principles are abstracted from particular events. Tithing for Old Testament Jews , and taxation for Europeans in 2025 are particulars of the same principle that civilised societies support those in need.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:13 pmAre you an Old Testament Jew, and are you planning to give a tenth of your income to the Temple in Jerusalem? They have this much in common: both are cases of the rich exploiting the poor. But one was in the name of religious rule, and the other is in the name of "the public good." Both were or are being done by groups of thieves who lied or lie about what they were or are doing, so that's another similarity.
