Gary’s lack of understanding is not dependent on other people.
Only Gary is in charge of his understanding.
Some folks are blindly patriotic.
Some folks offer reasoning, links, evidence, reality, etc., that gets ignored by folks like Gary, because it doesn’t fit their view, or it doesn't fit into their narrative that explains cause and effect for understanding that they convince themselves covers all the necessary variables, while important variables get ignored and the more they are ignored, the more invisible they become.
If important variables get ignored, like the A-bomb, it's not because one does (or not) have access to classified info, or because the bomb hasn't blown up. It's not because Trump could not state his singular purpose more clearly (Iran will never, ever have an atomic bomb). It's because the bomb is rejected by the selective narrative, as a valid reason for war, or in the case of Iran, a valid reason for The Reckoning.
Some folks are easily fooled by a sharp dressing narcissist out for number one. Obama had his two terms but sure did screw up the Democrat Party. Just look at the bad doors he opened ... racism, open borders, Iran, drone warfare which just has to make folks crazy. Just imagine unseen drones overhead all the time, and everyone in the vicinity of a surprise is just undocumented collateral damage, thousand and thousands and thousands of times.
Does anyone get used to that, or get over it?
Some folks are folksy.

Aging is depressing. There's nothing to look forward to except the hope for a relatively peaceful death. All my mental faculties have gone down the drain with bipolar disorder and the side effects of potent meds designed to mitigate it.

So cute. We know now that Walker is familiar with the ending of Monty Python's "The Life of Brian". Thank you for contributing to the thread.

Well, I suppose that's true too.

Thank you for your observation and your adorable reaction to the entertaining clip, and keep in mind contributions are voluntary.
Good Catholics don’t complain because their complaints are petty compared to what Jesus suffered.
It’s part of why Christianity has survived ignorant persecution for so long.
It's what makes nuns so tough.
They don't whine much.
One need not be Catholic to figure that out.
Now you know what to think.

With Trump, America has become a country where politicians can shamelessly profit off of their political positions without hiding it (just as Trump is doing) and don't have to tell the truth if they don't want to (just as Trump conspicuously does). Trump is the worst-case scenario, and that's what some in the US actually want. Before too long, we'll live in a dictatorship where politicians actively and openly exclude and persecute their enemies using the judicial system with no need to hide it. That is Trumpism. And those who want Trumpism don't even care that their man is shredding the Constitution in the name of xenophobia. No shame. Trump is without shame, and so are his supporters.

The Will to Power. In the end, power is all we seek. Democracy is unsustainable.

We live in a free country, for those who have economic freedom, the freedom to rule others.

For xenophobes, xenophobia and freedom don't mix. Nor do freedom and xenophobia mix for those who aren't xenophobes.
Now that we have Trump, we know what "For the Emperor" means in the "Warhammer" universe.

Life sucks when almost every day is an adventure in shame. But for me, living without shame comes at the cost of being wicked. I'd rather be ashamed of myself than be wicked.

Then you can never roll with me 'n Lucifer, Gary. When you submit to undeserved shame and humility instead of fighting back, you're already dead.
Examine the nature of your shame. We need to know where it comes from and how it manifests to see if you have a case.

I feel shame because I can be nasty at times to people like IC and AJ who are full of shit and hypocrisy. According to the Holy Bable, I'm supposed to love them and turn the other cheek. Apparently, according to them, they're good, upstanding people, and I'm not.
