Perhaps it was in the argument I'm having with IC right now in another thread. I've stated numerous times there that Israel has a right to exist and I've been consistent. It's difficult to hold two running arguments with two different people at the same time, often repeating myself from one thread to the next and addressing misunderstandings. It's very taxing. I have stated my understanding of the way things stand, you are free to read it or ignore it at your leisure.

Do you not believe Israel has a right to exist at this point? Does no country have a right to exist? Is it permissible to commit genocide against other peoples? Or is genocide inexcusable?accelafine wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 11:44 pmI don't 'believe' anything. It's a fact. Go away and practice your reading comprehension skills. Those 'questions' don't relate to anything I've written. Either that or you're being a sneaky little turd who thinks he's doing a 'gotcha'. Re: Gaza Crisis: Are we morally wrong?
As the farmer said to the guy who's hopelessly lost on his land, asking for directions, 'I wouldn't start from here'. Or Kashmir. Or... Of course it's all 'morally wrong'. So what? The Israeli army was criminally negligent on October 7 by ignoring its border force for weeks before. Because they were women. That's the proximate cause. Also Israel flaunted its sins as Sodom by having a pop concert in occupied territory in the oppressed face of Gaza behind the wire. There's the UN enforced invasion of Palestine 80 years ago. Preceded by British, preceded by Turkish, preceded by Roman foreign policy. Power is immoral.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 3:25 am What if we (Americans) are morally wrong to back Israel and enable Israel's campaign in Gaza? What if Israel is morally wrong in its conduct of the war against Gaza? Then what? Do we keep doing what we are doing even though it would be morally wrong to do so? What would be said of us in the end? Would it not matter? What would God think of us? Would it not matter?

Finally, the question: ARE we morally wrong? Is Israel morally wrong? And how can we know or find out an answer to that question in the middle of a war?

See what I mean? WTF does any of that gibberish mean? When someone has facts on their side they don't have to resort to gibberish. Arguing with tossers like the limp-wristed wokie above is shooting fish in a barrel. Just a bore actually.

You say you don't believe "anything". You stated that my statement that Israel has a right to exist is "meaningless". Presumably, that means you don't believe that Israel has a right to exist? Does Israel have a right to exist? Were you being sloppy with your words?accelafine wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 11:59 pmGo away and practice your reading comprehension skills. I did. You stated that saying a country has a right to exist or not is "meaningless". Does that apply to you also saying that a country has a right to exist? Do you not believe Israel has a right to exist? And if Israel doesn't have a right to exist, then does it merely come down to who is stronger? And if it comes down to who is stronger, what happens if/when history eventually turns the tables on Western Civilization? Are you sure that is something you would want your progeny to live by--at the mercy of a stronger empire?accelafine wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 12:09 amGo back and read what I wrote fatty.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 12:08 amYou say you don't believe "anything". I did. Explain to me what you mean by the statement; "saying a country has a right to exist is "meaningless". Is it truly meaningless? Don't you think Israel has a right to exist? Yes or no?accelafine wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 12:52 amRead what I wrote.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 12:17 amI did. Ok. I just looked back. I see now why you are confused. I wrote a comment thus: ''No country has a 'right to exist' and no country doe not have a 'right to exit'. They just exist''. It has mysteriously disappeared. Perhaps when I was flung off the site mid sentence, which has started happening again.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 1:06 amI did. Fair enough. If it's a consistent belief pertaining to all countries, then we have to live with that belief as it pertains to our own countries as well. That would mean that Israel cannot appeal to a right to exist if tables turn, nor can any other. Would you agree?

Re: Gaza Crisis: Are we morally wrong?
If it lost then that would be the result. As I said, 'rights' don't come into it. Who is going to 'bestow' it? The UN? Yeah right. How would it be enforced? Constant world wars? Would the US have a 'right to exist' stamp? Canada? Australia? Countries change hands all the time, sometimes multiple times. Germany didn't exist in the time of Mozart. Russia went out of existence for a while and appeared again. If Israel lost it would cease to exist and the region would become another islamist shit-hole. Then there would be an actual genocide, and wokedom of course would be silent. It was never about concern for 'palestinian children' or any other children. Have you actually LISTENED to wokies being interviewed? I saw one the other day where they thought Israel was a muslim country. They also didn't realise that gay people are persecuted in Gaza (they were 'queers for palestiners'). FFS.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Apr 29, 2025 1:58 amThank you for your candid answer. Actually I think I worded it a bit differently. ''Every country has a 'right to exist' and no country has a 'right to exit'. They just exist.'' Same sentiment.
Israel is going to defend itself and fight for its own existence. Is anyone going to tell them they have no 'right' to do that? I have a feeling they won't take any notice...
